That is the quickest 0-60mph I have seen for a road car... I think the time would have to have been done in automatic form as nobody is going to be quick enough to shift gears in that amount of time!!

T way more economical... We get 298K's out of a tank by the trip computer and it drinks 21.9 litres/100km also according to trip computer. It is all city driving and to give u an idea we have to fill approx 2.5 times in a week sumtimes more. We have gotten it down to 14 litres/100km on a very long and sedate country drive but.

If you call half a second nothing.....LOL The turbo launches out of the blocks a mile better that the 8!!! PS the bullsh*t piling up is yours....HAHAHAHA <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not half a second anymore... Currently BF XR6T (6Speed Auto) 0-100 - 6.2 BF XR8 (6Speed Auto) 0 -100 - 6.4 From Wheels Nov 2005 The XR6T's seem to be getting slower and slower in the performance times. If I remember correctly they did 0-100 in an Auto Ba T in 5.9 seconds when it first came out. Motor and Wheels haven't seemed to be able to replicate it since with MkII and BF.

Depends what you want.... cruiser or bruiser?? Personally I'd still go the 8 for the sound and the buldge. Stock for stock theirs bugger all difference in acceleration but when you start modding them then xr6t wins hands down for affordable mods. Im taking this as your referring to the xr6 turbo not the standard xr6. If its standard xr6 then yeah no comparison get the 8 if can stretch the budget!!

The XR6 would get mcflogged if stock against a 328i. Stock XR6 pulls an 8 something to the 100 mark which is not exactly speedy...

Is there any type of insurance that covers your car for this event? Like what happens if one of the instructors gets in and is showing off and stacks it... :(

The 645 is a V8 with 245kw and is said to accelerate to the 100km/h mark in around high 5's to low 6's. The one big criticism I've heard about it though is that its a bit of a barge in the handling department. M6 fixes all that up however and comes with a V10 to boot.

Ah ok thanks for your reply. I had a look through the sites and all the courses seem to be reasonably well priced... However I have just found out that the AAMI advanced driving course is free for me as Dad has insured a car under them so I'll be giving them a go first and then maybe one of these afterwards.

A hobby is building model cars, woodturning or baking flans or something similar...$150,000 on a cooling system for a Commodore, no matter how impressive has surely got to come under the 'Sheer Lunacy' catergory? Hah yeh, because I dont like Holdens in general and am not a member of that forum... If it is a genuine option Ford should pull their finger out and offer this type of option on the XR8 (GT style twin exhaust) or a louder performance orientated exhaust for the GTP as standard and an option on the GT. In all honesty the stock V8 exhaust sounds pretty wussy... sure it makes a bit of noise above 4000 rpm but their is no deep rumble below that (part of the reason you buy a V8 in the first place).

Was optioning up a monaro cv8z out of interest and I find the option of a "Performance Exhaust" for $1,397. Just wondering if anyone knows what this entails if it actually makes a difference to power and sounds??

Can anybody recommend a good advanced driving course that is run within NSW?? And if you were to use your own car how would insurance cover this seeing it would most likely be on a track?
