HAHA Score 1 for the Boss V8!! Got one up on the Typhoon and did 4 more laps. They finished in positions 9 and 10 respectively. Was there watching the 8 hunt down the phoon. V8 sounded awesome down through the twisties!! So much for the Tseries and a Turbo with a DNF. Other Turbos finished 14th and 18th. The 335i's were awesomely fast especially the lead one with the black powdercoat wheels.

Why do FPV put mineral in the car through the run-in procedure up to 3000km?

Herrod and Difilippo are the main contenders in exhausts when it comes to the Boss V8s. Haven't heard much about Berklee except for the fact that they do make the Brute Utes exhausts, but they'd probably be pretty good. We chose the Herrod quad cat-back in s/s for the GT for ADR compliance purposes. Plus its bloody well made but pricey.

What type of exhaust do you have on it? Sounds stock from the outside noise but not so much from inside the car?

Does anybody know what the tours consist of? We'll be there!!

Your either a Turbo or an 8 man. I'm the latter!! And revving the guts out of the V8 is half the fun.

Exactly (the fuel bill) what if it was a real tight ass driving the commy and they only put 91RON in it. Severely hampers performance! They go down to 250kw and 500nm from the 270kw and 530nm quoted on 98PULP.

Did they give any approximate time frame of when this is going to be implemented? I.e. With the current model?

If they did go for all alloy components as many have mentioned would you be prepared to pay 10k+ more for the car vs what they have now? -XR6T with a bonnet scoop or something that differentiates it more from the standard XR6 other than the badges and intercooler. -XR8 needs more low down torque (new engine?). -GT should have more power from factory. -Throttle blipping software incorperated into the current ZF gearbox for the FPV's. -Drop the GT-P and bring back a GT-HO with the same seats as GT-P (maybe even more supportive) and braking hardware but with a s-charged V8. -F6 is pretty good as it is but offer a version with the GT-P style seats. -Drop or make the Force models some new sheet metal and interior trim that have more differentiation from the F6 and GT. -Bring in an FPV Terror and FPV XR5.

Has anybody fitted anti-lag to their XR6T or F6?

Jeez I wonder what the price of these cars will be. With the Force 8 it seems they have basically built a GT then stripped out the interior and put similar looking red seats to the g220 in it. They have also fitted the fairlane/g220 chrome mirrors, stuck the ghia rear number plate garnish on and wacked on a new crappy looking Force 8 badge with a miniwing (bobtail). What is the point of this model??!!

It's a Ghia not a povo pack... and I reckon Ford are going to be in quite a bit of trouble with this design. Sales def going down. What does the Force 8 look like?

Talking to an FPV dealer today, he said that they are not taking orders on the V8s anymore but they are still taking it on the 6's. This could mean that a new V8 (higher performance) is in the works for the BF MKII's.

Couldn't believe how biased and rubbish this video is... Out of the 2 cars that you hear taking off in the beginning the xr8 is clearly audible over the Bogan special yet the guy keeps commenting on how much better the Bogan special sounds. He also said the Bogan special interior is far superiour to the XR8s. Maybe in the xr8s standard trim without any options it is a bit more upmarket but the red dash is a SHOCKER!! Also noticed when the guy said the XR8 was in trouble and pulling off the road they showed a Fairmont Ghia as a substitute pulling off the road. They somehow slanted the story trying to show the Ford falling to pieces on the side of the road and the commo as the victor. Vid Link: XR8 vs Bogan special Drive Video
