Had a drive of one of those that had been chipped. She was a good car but the insurance Ended up with the Subie RS turbo....and exceptional vehicle. Sorry I sold it really. :(

Thanks everyone on the feedback on this topic I struggle to comprehend the amount of useful information one can gather on this website. Just on the warranty issue Peter, does APS have any warranty on phase 1 kits with regard to engine or driveline failure?

Why twin turbo's? Subaru will tell you it is a nightmare. Why do you think the B4 has be reverted back to the single turbo and renamed the GT. Don't see the point in 2 turbo's when 1 will do. Just my $0.02 worth. :(

I don't understand this. Surely with increased power, increased fuel is needed, even when cruising? Falchoon, It aint necessarily so Grasshopper Even though I know bugger all about the unichip or any other for that matter, it all has to do with the mapping of the air fuel ratio. The standard chip in any car is a compromise and is fixed. This doesn't allow for minor variations in motors which occur. So if the computer is programed exactly to the engine you can eliminate the engine from running too rich and wasting fuel. Hence better economy in cruise mode Did I get it right Peter?

I probably missed it somewhere, but could somebody give me the heads up on what the harness upgrade is and what it intends to achieve?

Mate, as an ex-proud owner of a 93 RS from new let me give you my 2c worth. I didn't get rid of my RS until 1992 when I replaced it with a VW Bora 4 motion V6. Nothing up until this time gave me any where near the satisfaction when hooking in on a great road. And my RS wasn't even moded. But after driving the T, I was incredibly impressed with its agility and power. For mine.....Just Do It. But it must be a Mercury Silver as everyone else on the site will agree. PS.
