Fg F6 Test Drive
I kind of like it - the traction/stability control lets you have a bit of fun but still keeps things in line. Mine nearly got away from me the first time I put the boot in because I wasn't ready for it but I'm getting used it to it.

My New Fg F6
Thanks Hypnodoc - there's a white R spec in my area that was the final factor in my choice of colour. The first time I saw it I decided to order the FG in white. Thanks F6BF - He certainly did. I went on one of their cruises to Mudgee a couple of years ago with a mate and I've been promising to buy one off him ever since.

My New Fg F6
Thanks guys. It was a choice between white or black and I think the contrast with the white works well. Hi Tigwelder - I'll keep an eye out.

My New Fg F6
Just picked it up this afternoon and absolutely cannot stop grinning I ordered it back in May and haven't driven one until today so the wait was nearly unbearable but definitely worth it. I love the new look, the power is awesome, it handles fantastic and the interior is a huge improvement. Stepping up from a BA XR6T into this car is an unbelievable experience and one I'm going to be enjoying for a long time to come.

Auto Transmission
Mine did the some thing a few months back when driving to work. Gear indicator flashing, stuck in 4th gear and the speedo stopped working. As soon as I turned it off and restarted everything seemed to working OK, so I didn't think it was heat related. Dropped it into the service centre but they said they couldn't find anything. The only good news is that was at 13,000kms and now at 23,000 I haven't had the problem again (fingers crossed).

Road Trip
The way this was explained to me is that when a speed limit sign is posted ie 80km/h then the road must have corner advisory limits posted on every corner where the recommended speed is less than 80km/h. this means that you get the yellow signs saying 45km/h etc. When the black circle with the line through it sign is posted the open road limit (100km/h) applies but the corners are not necessarily signposted so you should drive to limit of the conditions. I don't know if this correct and I'd love it if someone could confirm or deny this.

Joke Of The Day
It's the Spring of 1957 and Bobby goes to pick up his date. He's a pretty hip guy with his own car. When he goes to the front door, the girl's father answers and invites him in. "Carrie's not ready yet, so why don't you have a seat?" he asks. "That's cool," says Bobby. Carrie's father asks Bobby what they're planning to do. Bobby replies politely that they will probably just go to the soda shop or a movie. Carrie's father responds, "Why don't you two go out and screw? I hear all the kids are doing it." Naturally, this comes as a quite a surprise to Bobby, so he asks Carrie's Dad to repeat it. "Yeah," says Carries father, "Carrie really likes to screw, she'll screw all night if we let her!" Well, this just made Bobby's eyes light up, and immediately revised his plans for the evening. A few minutes later, Carrie comes downstairs in her little poodle skirt and announces that she's ready to go. Almost breathless with anticipation, Bobby escorts his date out the front door. About 20 minutes later, a thoroughly disheveled Carrie rushes back into the house, slams the door behind her, and screams at her father: "DAMMIT, DADDY! THE TWIST!! IT'S CALLED THE TWIST!!!"

Theiving Scum Bags
A mate of mine had his VT SS wheels taken out of his driveway last night. The cops mentioned that there were two others done in the Hills area in Sydney last night (a VX and VY - looks like someone wanted the full set). He's not too upset - the insurance is enough for a new set of 18" (+ locknuts) and his better half had scrubbed the old rims anyway. It seems like wheels are a popular target at the moment.

Hello, Anyone Out There...
I was checking all morning from work and only got through now. There is probably a delay in the new server address being updated. I'm sure the site will be in full swing again shortly

Smoking In The Car
I've been a smoker for 15 years but never smoke in the house or car cause I can't stand the smell afterwards. It's a bit like putting six spoons of sugar in your coffee and then not stirring it because you don't like it too sweet

FG XR6 Delivery Dates (2008)
I ordered mine mid September and was initially told it could be up to three months. In the second week of October I got a call from the dealer and was told 31st October. I asked whether the car was coming direct from factory or had they found one at another dealership and was told straight from the factory with Oct 03 build date. It was ready to collect right on time on Fri 31st and the build date is definitely OCt 03.

Weird Question
I was taught at school that water flowed in different directions depending on the hemisphere you're in and I only found out recently that it's a load of old cobblers'. Here's a link if anyone is interested

Who Are You ?
I travel into the city that way but a little later on (depending on the traffic). I've seen quite a few XR's and plenty of T's - they seem to very popular in that part of the world.

How Did You Cope?
As Homer says - "Ah alcohol, the cause of and solution to, all of life's problems" :-) Only 5 hours to go - I think the boss has realised he's not getting any work out of me today.
