Adaptor For Dvd On Prem Sound Screen
Built a very neat custom harness for ms700 that makes use of that Box - these boxes are great becuase you can make Sat-Nav friendly installs work without too much fuss. In ms700s car all the gear is mounted under front passenger seat, with a single cable running up to the ICC that handles Input selection, video signals and IR (if wanted).... Just a little ciggy pack sized box up between the SatNav and the ICC plug. A.

Tcb Button
Get an electronically minded person to make a "auto TCS disable box" All it has to do is detect the ignition cycle of "On-Start-On" and then after say 15 seconds it simulates a Press of the button. You'd get even be able to get trickier and have it so that it will only auto disable if the ignition cycle is done with foot on brake/clutch or trans is in "N" or whatever so the average Mechanic etc who gets intot he car doesn't assume fault, and they also gett he donut limiting of TCS I'm surprised no-ones done it yet. Icc Dvd Options
Or just use a fully compatible plug for the ICC end ($10-$20) a xbox/ps2 RGB lead. Soft switch a PAL xbox to NTSC so it remains legal and unopened. *shrugs* or ask ms700 about his setup, off-the-shelf DVD player, off-the-shelf interface box, custom cable harness to cope with satnav, auto switching etc and "presto".. Moving To Canberra Southside
ms700 is right.... I had serving and work done at Gregories in both Mitchell and Braddon, McGraths in Woden and NOTHING done at McGraths Belconnen. To be fair I'll just list everythign I can remember that has happened to my car that hasn't been related to time taken to fix or diagnose. I'll also not link events to dealerships... Car reversed into another car in dealers forcourt. Initally denied, but grudgingly accepted. Greasy had prints on roof lining around B pillar Scratched A-pillar trim (interior with screwdriver) Front door seals not installed properly (hella windnoise) Caught a mechanic drifting the car through a corner - basically caning the crap outa it. Pin dent in the top of front guard (only found a week after service) Loose bolts in the rear end making handling "interesting" Car going in driving straight and coming out crabbing Clearcoat scratches ont he roof where an air line was left sitting onteh roof (they make very specific fine circular damage due to the vibration) Remember this donesn't include none fixes, time wasting and the "they all do that mate" excuse which has been proven wrong each time. Probably the best expereinces I've had were in the old Scuderia Veloce (Chrysler/Porsche/Volvo) dealership - they treated the cars and customers with more respect. Renault was good - but the team there is long gone - and knowing the head tech on a personal level helps. I'll freely admit that my car is definately a bit of a lemon compared to some so it does do more workshop time increasing the risk of exposure to accidents and bad luck... But honestly, this shouldn't happen nearly every time the car ventures into a workshop with a Blue Oval on the wall. A.

How Many Don't Modify Their T?
If mine would make it for a complete service interval (even the interim 7500km) withou developing a non NVH related warranty fault I'd consider it. But seeing as it's boardering on being the biggest lemon I've owned (and apparently I've had some stinkers) it'll be stock for a while yet - Not counting electronics inside and XR8 dual CAI pod.... But I suppose you could count all the Ford improvements as mods... So.. Diff (multiples thereof) Water pump o-ring that don't leak Thermostat housing seal that don't leak ECU code that doesn't overboost Heater that works Tailshaft that does shake Exhaust heatshield clamps that stay on The sad thing is that after all the crap and more days off-road that I'd like I'd still buy another - there's simply no better car for the money. Kitty has asked (told) me to say thanks... So Thanks everyone ---- Now that Kitty is out of the room........ Just because I was tied up in noose of 14 core shielded cable in an upstairs room doesn't mean anything at all. The damn thing was 1.8m long, beige (closest match to HgAg), and very very feisty... I think I've wrestled a head onto it now though... Now all I need to do is get the big black DONG fitted to the other end Then we know ms700 is gonna have some fun A.

Zoom-zoom
I'm with Ross here.... Spec up a F6 to match the interior stuffs on the MPS Leather/bose pack and I think you'll hit about $63K + luxury car tax to further sting The MPS ofcourse falls under the LCT threshhold... As for the AWD system, it's a bit different to what some have described in this thread, it's certainly not a complete lame duck.... I'll be looking at one to replace the XR6T whent he time comes, but I'll be looking at a lot of things A.

Dvd On Factory Screen
Sorta, The act is legal, the chips themselves are legal, but the code loaded in them cannot be based around hacked Microsoft code otherwise the whole thing is illegal. In short if you have a chipped xbox and it still runs as an xbox then it's illegal. Now personally I don't really give much of a stuff about that, but to some people it's important, and it's certainly something that should be made known to anyone considering that path. The NTSC converted Aussie xbox I'm using uses and runs no hacked Microsoft code, and behaves exactly as a bog-stock xbox should. And yes a larger HDD really makes an xbox in the car make sense A.

Dvd On Factory Screen
A chipped xbox will not "just work" - You need to change the video output settings on it as well. Some chips let you do this from their own BIOS, others let you run the software to do the change-over. Sure that's as easy as running Enigmah and pressing a button, but you've got to do that All of the above chipping is illegal. There is a LEGAL changeover to the video region that can be made. I'm testing it now and so far no bugs, but we'll see. A.

Edit And Self Learning Pcm
If the Edit is done right self learning is going to happen around the new "target" points for the ECU. Ofcourse this doesn't mean they won't tune "down" a bit based on some things. Example I can think of immediately is knock sensing. the ECU will downtune itsefl away from the knocking/pinging, but rarely do they pick themselves back up again to the same level that the knock/ping occured. Resetting this memory space (disconnect battery, reflash etc) shoudl let the engine operate closer to the maxmium performance. I recall that even in the early '90s a lot of cars were logging stuff for the last 50 ignition/engine run cycles. For a car driven to and from work that's 25 days, and somethign that happened at some point in that 25 days could lead to the car detuning until the cause didn't recur for 50 cycles... A.

Digital TV for Ford ICC

Stone Chips
Ford touch-up paint is generally a pretty good match and not that expensive. You could try your hand using some "Langka" (www.langka.com) to buff the stuff down. Overall a few hours of time spent with touch-up (and a finer brush) can be almost impossible to detect. A.

Xbox To Icc - Help Please
Any chance of posting a cct for the 12vdc input psu for the xbox?? or even just the pinouts for the v1.6 psu with current ratings so I can get started on my own <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You're better off getting a ATX > Xbox convertor board from GRC Mods and using a EPIA style 12v PSU I can assure you of this Doing your own PSU is stright forward enough if you've got PSu design experience though and the voltages are the same for any xbox, justt he pin-outs changed.
