  1. My car does this too and is really noticeable since I got the edit. The tuner that did my edit thinks it would be a bent turbo blade. One possibility I guess.
  2. I'm about halfway through my Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's (in 18") and am happy with the noise levels, and I am someone who is quite fussy when it comes to tyre noise.
  3. Thanks. Yes it is looking more like I will have to take it to Ford. I was trying to avoid that!
  4. Damn! I was gonna try this on mine but after reading that I'm not so sure. Mind you, the Ford dealer I called said I can't buy the TPS and I had to buy the whole throttle body for $450 odd. I really did not want to have to put up with the crappy idle and stalling.
  5. Hey IH8TOADS Your car looks hot! Are those rims the Verde Kaos? I was thinking of getting those in shadow chrome on my phantom T.
  6. Do you do any track work? If not, have you considered the DBA standard slotted instead of the 4000 series? A cheaper option, I guess. I have upgraded my BA to BF brakes and it was certainly a worthwhile investment. Having said that, I paid stuff all for them so it was always going to be worth it. I don't really drive the car hard and did it more for the looks than anything. I have noticed a fair difference in the effectiveness of the braking. I am only running the standard Ford rotors and pads at the moment and when it comes time to replace the rotors I will get some DBA standard slotted.
  7. Thanks for that. It looks like it sits similar to mine (Kings with SSL rear) and was wondering what it would look like with 20's.
  8. Looks good. Is your car standard height? It does appear to sit a little high but the wheels are filling the arches nicely. Makes the brakes look small though! What size tyres are you running?
  9. No. Only XR6 Turbo and V8 models got the bigger brakes. XR6 NA have the smaller BA brakes.
  10. Thanks for the review. I have considered the same move myself.
  11. Territory and BF XR6T/V8 are the same. As a matter of interest, as I have done this upgrade myself, has everyone else who has done this left the original backing plates/dust shields on the back? As the new ones are ventilated (a lot wider) they are extremely close to the old backing plates.
  12. Yup, a guy in QLD found the right combo. 19x8.5 with 245/35R19 front and 19x9.5 with 285/30R19 rear. Both front and rear run a +35 offset with 1 degree of negative camber on the back and rolled guards. Actually, I have just looked at the printout from my last wheel alignment and apparently have -1.62 degrees of camber on the left rear and -0.62 degrees on the right rear. It states the target should be -1.10 degrees +/- 0.25. According to that there already should be 1 degree of negative camber.
  13. So how did you go fitting a 285 on a 10" rim? (On the car I mean)
  14. Didn't even read the rest of the options, just clicked straight on Edit!
  15. Yeah, thanks for that. I remember reading that, but I couldn't remember whether he needed the negative camber for 9.5" or 10" rears. Maybe best to stick to a 275 and not do the camber adjustment.
  16. Has anyone successfully fitted 285/30 R19 on 9.5 inch rear rims? Obviously you would need to roll your guards, but wondering if you could fit them in?
  17. Have had exactly the same problem with my car about a year ago. Did exactly what you did, blew through the lines, checked the jets weren't blocked, etc. Then all of a sudden they started working again and haven't played up since! Still have no idea why they started working again.
  18. Thanks for the reminder guys. I'll make sure I never get under a car supported by a jack. You know sometimes you say to yourself 'Ah, I'll be alright!'. Never again.
  19. Yep, unfortunately I have done it too. Can't remember exactly how much it cost to fix but it was around the $300-$400 mark as the steering wheel has to come out and the whole assembly replaced.
  20. Bug eye came out in late 2000. It is referred to as the MY01 but can be registered in 2000.
  21. Yes it does look lower but give it at least a week to settle a bit. I have King Springs in mine and I measured the distance between the ground and the bottom of the sill just behind the front wheel and just in front of the rear wheel and both measured approximately 160mm.
  22. I don't reckon you would have a problem with the guard. As you are increasing the overall diameter somewhat, the only problem you may have is the clearance to the upper suspension arm.
  23. Let me be the first to suggest King Springs. Front: KFFL-57 Rear: KFRL-68SSL Lowers the front approximately 15mm and the rear approximately 35mm for a level sill. Still nice and practical to drive. Mark
  24. I disagree with the wank factor others have suggested. I don't have a quad exhaust on my car although I have contemplated it quite a few times. A quad exhaust fitted to any Falcon, whether it's a six or an eight is done because people like the look of it. If you like the look of a quad exhaust, then get it. I would do that before I started sticking GT bodykits, etc on the car. And hey, if a quad exhaust is good enough for a BMW E46 M3 straight six, then it's good enough for me.
  25. Yep, thanks for letting us know. Can't wait!
