hey fordfreak any chance of a sound clip at some stage? Would be good to hear, inside or outside. Would you say it is as loud as a catback system?

I was actually looking at an AMG C32 (supercharged 6), very quick, light, nimble, luxurious, but then I came across the G6ET and weighed up the pros and cons, the G came out on top.. just. Yes the AMG was more exclusive, but too late haha.

Manual is old technology, just like a typewriter....Sure there are a few who think it is "cool" still bahahahahaaa. Is there a decent replacement for the rear muffler yet? There is one on ebay, XFORCE rear, wonder what that would sound like in comparison. I ask an exhaust shop and they just bang on about full systems, etc. Nothing under $1000.

Seriously there really isn't that much difference. Yes there is a slight difference, but go buy/borrow a sub in a box, and with the standard wires (if you can make them reach) plug that in, then you can say you have a real difference. How can you say 100% better? If you got 100% better sound, it couldn't have been plugged in.

Yea I did this, and it made it a little bit better, but I just took the wire and attached it onto my 12 inch sub in box, which is a massive improvement! Waaay better!!

Yea, I did, still sounds different on camera than in person. Which makes me wonder what these modded exhausts actually sound like...

No it doesn't only the controls on the ICC. Fiddle around until you find what is good enough. Otherwise, new amp, and new speakers. Whats with the fire extinguisher?

That's what mine sounds like on a vid clip, that is why I haven't posted one. It is quiet, but on the video it is loud and crackles...

I had the quaddies with 3.5inch pipes, unrolled on my BA, I loved the look! But I won't be getting unrolled on the G6ET...

Well I definitely don't want my G6ET sounding anything slightly resembling any sort of race car, jeez that would be shocking... marcthelegend thankyou for the videos they were a good indicator of what it sounds like from the drivers point of view...

Yea I am waiting for some FG owners who have done this mod. I don't want to spend over $1000 for a little more noise and that needed crackle...

aha, thanks for that reply! Yes I drive in manual mode all the time, except on the highway. How does it sound going 100+? What I meant by "tampered with" was, is it as loud as a full system?

I made my own box, pod, and piping, without a tune, and I am very happy with the sound. Also have the BOV vented for added fully hecticism... It was less that $100 and does just what I wanted! And still looks stock-ish...

So would you say that it still sounds like a stock car (just a little louder), or obviously been "tampered with" exhaust? Because I need a little more sound, but not spending over $500 haha

Just wondering how you went 2010G6E turbo. I am in the same boat at the moment, don't care for more power at the moment just want some noise, not overly loud. Do not like the odd sound made from dropping the centre muffler...

And are they 6.5inch? I went to Autobarn, and they had pioneer, kenwood and clarion, and all 3 looked decent, price wise. confuzed...
