Ford have grossly and utterly insulted its loyal customer base with its inept management of the phase out of the Falcon IMHO. They have comprehensively failed to grasp the fact that Falcon is, and has been part of, so many peoples lives not just as a car but a lifestyle icon. I wish Ford well but I have moved on from FPV, they will never get any of my hard earned money ever again. I have sold my my FPV F6 and now enjoy a different brands' dedication to its customers. I enjoyed the FPV immensely , good times but now only memories. How could they get it so wrong? Ford will languish at number six or seven in sales volume for many years to come, sadly. Our local Ford Dealer now sells Great Wall utes in place of solid Australian made products.....how many Great Wall utes will incite the same passions as '67 GT? in 46 years time? FMD!

A tune is all you need ......stock these cars are weapons .......so sad they wont live on with new Falcon.......RIP FPV A tune should give you minimum of 20 rwkw imho

I read somewhere that it will be late 2014 before the next major revision to Falcon is launched. In the meantime we (loyal non swinging voters) will have to put up with tiny scraps of revision and price discounting to hold sales against the VF and imported over priced snob wheels. This discounting will lower our resale values yet further and test the loyalty of Ford new car buyers. This discounting will hurt Ford and its dealers even harder. When the Fusion comes in 2016,with a twin turbo V6 and AWD it should hang on around corners. We may never see another majorly upgrade to Falcon despite promises. Launch the Aussie Fusion now , hold onto your F6 as it may be the last one...

Here we go my - two cents worth .....the future relates to costs not revenue. Ford Australia is a high per unit cost local maufacturer in comparison to the global Ford benchmarks , and we are a tiny market that could bleed millions in costs. I predict that the Falcon will have one more iteration then we move to a global car - what it is based on is my second guess....sporty mid sized SUV type vehicles are the growth categories. Personally I hope an Australian Falcon lives on ,which is what an FPV will be based on. Ford Australia has already done deals with unions to move to a four day week and the bean counters have been pouring over Ford Australia for some time. I just dont think we have the clout to get what we want anymore. A compromise may be reached if Julia tips in millions for a few more years. I am saddened to think about our boring 'Mondeo Fusion' future.....every day I drive my 2010 FPV F6 I smile........ My closing remark - everyone berates Ford for selling less cars - its about quantum profit not revenue . - profit per unit dollar invested and per unit overall. Buy your pumkins for a dollar and sell them for a dollar -- make more profit by reducing cost if you cant grow the revenue line.

Ford Australia is moving to a global platform and our next Falcon in 2015 or 2016 will be closely based on a USA Fusion large car - Australian designed and manufactured vehicles are on a sunset timeframe.......long live our FPV's , truely unique and outstanding value for the money in my opinion.

Sirs Photochromatic interior rear view mirror is fitted standard to FG G6 E T, F6 E And GTE models I nearly purchased an FG G6 E Turbo but went with an F6 April 2010 build. The salesman was driving an FG G6 E T demo at the time and said he loved the rear view mirror. I asked our friendly Ford dealer spare parts dept if I could buy a photochromatic mirror and sure enough yes you can and $ 6 wiring loom as well. They called today and said I could not fit it as the BMC would not allow it! WTF? Its only a mirror and is wired to the interior light assembly as far as I can see. Can anyone help me? Photo of my jigger attached.

Sirs How much horsepower or kws does a top fuel dragster make at full noise? Settle an argument for me! Panda

Does anyone have an inside line on when the 2010 upgrades are due to hit the market and also what those mods will be esp for the F6's? First it was July and latest I heard was October !

I saw the Performance Car Series at Bathurst today on Channel 7 and there was a blue and white FPV (Typhoon?) running sixth for a while against the Holdrolets and EVOs then it disappeared. Does anyone know anything about this car. It looked quick and was apparently still being developed. Wish there were more of them to kick those mullet heads butts.

Thanks, I want to limit the cowsh*t and cr&p that flies up on the country roads I tend to drive on mostly. It's my car I want to protect. Panda

I am the lucky driver of a 2007 BF Typhoon Auto and my daily drive takes me across many rural country roads. The vehicle was delivered without mudspats and whem I asked ( pestered ) prior to delivery I was told they don't make them for this model. Help me please! I have beent to several after market places and none seem to be able to help me. Has anyone had any experience with trying to fit mudspats that look half reasonable? The General has duddy looking ones fitted to their mulletmobiles. Ford get your act together. Signed A nearly very happy owner.

Guys And Ladies! What about the best sounding Barra TURBO! Must be some awesome beasts out there........ Absolutely NO Crapadores allowed.... (They are Chev motors anyway!) Panda

Hey Guys This topic may have been raised but what happened to the T in the latest test results up aginst the crapadores? The GT Falc was a jet, as was the XR8 (13.99 400m). My guess is that hot weather eally affected the T results or is it just the others are less affecetd by hot weather. A temp gauge showed 47 C in one picture. Help me sleep please. Panda

Fellow XR6'ers This guy Hewitt is living proof that you don't have to be a good bloke to be a top sportsperson. He subscribes to the "LMD" club and believes the three things that everybody believes about themselves................classic over achiever, boring! Quote: 1. That I have a great sense of humour 2. That I am a great driver 3. That I am a good judge of character Unquote. I can't stand the guy and don't watch him, grates me ........................

I ordered the Premium brakes and have not regretted it one bit. They truly are worth it as the speeds build quickly in these cars and the prems sure do stop with ZERO fade. I have driven heaps of cars where the brakes runout after about four or five hard stops. I also have had no shudder or squeals. Panda

The sunroof in my T is awesome, esp now during the cooler autumn (and spring) times of year. As long as you get it properly sorted when you take delivery and all bugs and fitting are checked at first service. Panda

Hey guys You will enjoy the power and driveability (sp?) of the stage one. If you wait and do the install until after you have done 10,000 or so kms it no matter about warranty kemo sabe and if you haven't sorted out the car by then you never will. Go for it, you only live once! And as they say once you have stage one you'll be very curious how a stage two feels. Panda APS Stage one 18's prem brakes, auto, BLUEPRINT! etc etc P. S. A mate stayed with me last weekend , he has a 7 series Beemer 4 litre V8 and he couldn't believe how well the turbo went...........................past his beemer.....
-
Guys The solution to this is simple , as mentioned in afore posts..................before alighting said vehicle place hand firmly on the metal part of door BEFORE you earth the car with your feet touching terra firma and you will not get zapped. It's got nothing to do with seats or clothes you wear. It works. Panda

Saleen1 I have an auto XR6T, with a stage one unichip and its worth every penny, had it for 10,000 kms now and not a day goes by when I don't look foward to eating another mullet haired bogan Expensive Daewoo driver. The plan is to go to an upgrade on exhaust only next to relieve back pressure and another 30 or 40 kws will be available. I cannot recommend this car mod highly enough! Any more queries don't hesitate to ask. A satisfied Ford T owner ps I have : 18's, prem brakes, leather, sports wheel, prem sound, tinted windows, sunroof, and a unichip !

Someone help me with the math here: My reckoning is the depreciation on TWO cars now far exceeds any extra fuel use costs or savings. For example, if the BA was doing 2 litres per 100 kms worse , then over the 30,000 kms stated it used $600 more fuel than the precious but overpriced Mazda 6. Now the fact has to be faced that the Mazda may depreciate faster than the BA. Even at 4 litres per 100 km EXTRA fuel use the numbers do not stack up. Which car is safer , faster, more comfortable, and BIGGER? My cynical nature gets me into trouble sometimes. My Baby : XR6 T SS, Phase One unichip, 18's Prem brakes, blah blah...

The only way to deal with thieves is to cut ,very painfully, their *beep* off, .....................................no? Keep your keys with you 100% of the time you are away from the vehicle.
