Gt Stripes On An Xr6t?

hmmm, thinking of ways to make the T a little more visually distintive, love those stripes on the GT.........

I know the topic of the XR8 bonnet on the 6 has been done, but would be interested to hear what peoples thoughts are on putting the GT stripes on the 6?

At $470 plus install, I'll be doing some furhter consideration first.

I think it falls into the same category as the XR8 bonnet, unless maybe someone could come up with some stripes different to GT and unique to XR6. I reckon (tasteful) bonnet vents are the go myself. XA GT style teardrops or maybe the XB GT "nostrils".

couldn't agree more, I think it is a bit dissapointing that Ford has elected to not make the T any different from the n/a's. There should be a small intake or vent on the bonnett (wrx or EB GT style) and more badging - that you don't need binoculars to see. Perhaps it was an issue of production costs and keeping them down by reducing variations amongst the range.

One thing similar to this which would set off the winter white is a Cobra-esque blue stripe, placed along the side plastic mouldings (halfway down the doors). There's a half-centimeter-odd sized dimple in the middle of the moulding, a blue stripe to fill that would set things off nicely I reckon.

How funny that this topic should come up. Stripes are going on my T in the morning and I am investigating either XA GT vents or EL XR6 vents for the bonnet. I love the idea of vents, but hate the idea of a panel beater or somebody else cutting holes in my bonnet!! Would this cause the bonnet to warp/flex or change at all? I hope not, will keep u posted.

I have seen a White XR6T with a red pin stripe on the plastic mouldings along the side of the doors and in the lip of the front and rear bumper ala AUII etc. Looks trick.!

Blue stripes (on white) along the side (like GT) or a big mutha down the middle, is the way to go. I'm thinking about it, but you do gotta earn your stripes first (ie hot it up) other wise your all talk and no walk.
