Fg Diff Noise
Ah ok that's good, I was worried they were going to tell me that it was because I had no tread on my tires.

Fg Diff Noise
My car has 6000 on the clock, I took it in a 1.5k and they said I had to wait till 15k. I lost my sh*t all over there customer service. I took it back at 5k to have oils done again and said I wanted it fixed no questions asked. They rang me and tried spinning me some more stories. In the end they ordered a new diff. Still havent got it yet... :(

Fg Diff Noise
I have a new diff on order, was a pain in the arse to get my dealer to admit it was my diff. First it was run in noise, then it was tire noise, then it was just diff bushes "Not coverered by warrenty", any ways. Waiting for the call for them to say its in.

Pbr Brakes
I did the same thing here in SA. The ones here didnt have twin calipers, they were 4 pots singles all round if I recall correctly. Just shy of FG Brembos size. Drilled and slotted. I did 6 laps and the front left was smoking by the end of it. Dunno if I had a worn pad. 200+ down to 40 in like 10 meters. I was impressed. I dunno what brembos are like on the track, but I wouldnt be disapointed with the PBR setups, they worked far far better than I ever expected. I drove a BA 5 speed, with 107k on the clock. No FG's when I did it.

Mark Skaife Calls For Speed Limit To Be Lifted To 140Km/H
The thing on sunday tonight was pretty good, I made the mrs watch it. Most of the sh*t he had to say was pretty good. A couple of weeks of thoery and practicle driving lessons in handerling a car defensive driving and driving in excess off 160km. The main thing I liked was the fact that germany spend tax money on giving new licensee's a grant for buying new safe cars. Our government spent our tax money on insulation that in which killed some people and burn down a f*ck load of houses. Germany's outlook on this issue it. Safer cars, safer roads, and better educated drivers will bring down deaths. *beep* on the road will be *beep* on the road regardless, they aim on trying to save people instead of spending billion on advertising to scare people.

Go back there, ask to spead to the manager very politely. Then take him out to your car and show HIM what his workshop did. Tell him if he doesnt have it fixed you will ring ford australia and tell them after speaking to the manager personally, they still didnt fix it properly. Im sure if you inform him things will happen, its the fact that the service department arnt going to tell there managers about sh*t they f*cked. FIRE UP BUDDY!

Fg Xr6 Turbo Diff Noise!
MY CAR GOES IN TUESDAY WEEK, 14 of JUNE. 2010 March Build FG XR6T Ute Manual Any ways, diff has whined ever scince I got it, I think I got a lemon though because it whines regardless of speed and its louder than my mates sooby with a straight cut gearbox. My diff clunks with any application of the accelerator pedal, my clutch rattles when out of gear and clutch pedal out, clutch pedal in, doesnt rattle. The tailshaft has about 5 to 8mm of slack in it, I can turn it 1/8 of a revolution with the car in gear in the drive way, all slack in the joints from the back of gearbox to the center connection, and then the same amount of slack going back into the diff. The gearbox clunks changing gears, and I mean it cluncks before I have left the clutch out, it like I said then clunks as soon as I touch the accelerator pedal. I took my car in at 1800ks and asked for it to be fixed and for an oil change. I got the car back, nothing fixed, was told it was still running in so I should come back at 15,000k's. And they forgot to change the oil, I rang them and said I had checked my oil and it hadnt been changed, service deperatment assured me it had been. They rang me back 2 hours later to appologise. I had to hire a loan car for them to tell me nothing was wrong and NOT service my car. Like I said goes back in tuesday, again I have to hire a car which is twice im out of pocket for no work accutaly being done to my car. It gets fixed this time or im going to seek help from the appropriate parties. RANT OVER... Yeah but seriously, very poor customer service.

All manual utes clunk, if yours doesnt you will have to send it off and find out why. You will smoke 8's with your stock ute if the 8's are manuals, dunno about autos. I find that a manual FG turbo is just slightly quicker than a BF with a ZF though the first 2 gears, but it all comes down to shift times and controling traction in an FG. Once you get past 2nd they become dangerously quick, slightly quicker than a bf phoon. that's my personal opinon. As worm said, try the auto as well. I know you said your last cars were auto's but the ZF is 10x better than any auto in any car that isnt worth 100k plus. Its is awsome to drive. Manuals are more fun though and use less fuel on the highways.

XR6 Turbo Fuel Consumption: Real-World Economy Figures
Mine has 5k on the clock now, has had 2 oil changes. I posted when I first got it, first tank of fuel and I got 10.8. I now get 10.5, it drops to 10.4 if I drive more than 10 mins on cruise control. Its pretty steady. I ran the bitch in good, these figures are from enjoying the car and not worrying about fuel. I have about 25% tread on all for tires, as I have rotated twice now and fuel is still great. Manule 6T Ute

First thing you will probably notice with a manuel 6 ute is drive line noises. Clunks, thuds, clicks, and my diff whines like a whore. So I guess have a listen and make sure your happy with those noises. My diff is suposed to getting done under warrenty, week tuesday so well see what comes of it. Most of the noises are apprenlty "standard". If you already know about the tailshaft then I dont think there is anything else to know really, just common sence. Make sure you do all your normal checks when buying a car, oil leaks, steering noises, check all dials and button inside. Make sure no warning lights are on. Suspention noises, visualy check under the car for damage, scapage, and any bushes you can see for worn one, and or any modifications. 20k on the clock, FG, should be pretty smicko any ways. Is it still under warrenty now?
