  1. You may be correct Tra1nr although the Vicroads web site is a little vaige about increasing the width no greater than 25mm from the vehicle model or series available from the factory. (So you would need to own a GT R-spec to fit 20x10s legally in Victoria?)
  2. Hi guys, I was looking at putting some 20x8 and 20x10 on my G6ET some time ago but understood they were too wide to confirm to the vicroads legal requirements so put this on hold. As the GT R-spec comes out with 19x9s at the back now standard, does this mean you can get away with 10s legally as they are within the 25mm allowable increase. Cheers, Pete
  3. Thanks Paulie, much appreciated. Pete
  4. Hi Guys, I need to tap some power for my UHF and just wondering where the eassiest place would be. I have had a look around the fuse box area but thought there may be an eassier spot near the centre console. (doesnt need to be on all the time just accesories) Cheers, Pete
  5. Your talking FPV here. I sent them an email asking about this option. (mentioning I drive a G6ET) I am still waiting for a response three months later. Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
  6. Still very happy with the cashmere and would not hesitate to get this again. (What pisses me off is you dont get the option to go cashmere in the FPV range. Would love a Winter white with Cashmere GT-E next.)
  7. The negative camber can be fixed with 6mm shim kit when doing the springs. (this is what was done to mine when I lowered it)
  8. Have had my G6ET for two years and no issues at all apart from the aircon not being cold enough. this was fixed with a new condensor and software update in December last year. (aparently when voltage dropped at idle the aircon would switch off) The only other issue starting to appear is slight brake shudder. I will get the discs machined at the next service. (around 60K) Love the car and would buy the same again. (unless I can stretch to a GT-E with supercharger when the finance is up) Cheers, Pete
  9. better off having a seperate ipod in the car all the time. for some reason plugging your iphone in doesnt seem to work particularly well. As all others have answered, the key fob unlocks but does not open. Cheers, Pete
  10. Stephen Kruk is the national service manager at Ford for Australia and New Zealand. Perhaps a well written email outlining your issues may be the ticket. skruk@ford.com Cheers, Pete
  11. Have had White and cashmere for over twelve months and not an issue. I give the cashmere a wipe with leather wipes every once and a while and no dramas. I also think during summer the cashmere is a better option as it doesn't seem to heat up. (hope that makes sence) The carpet is probably the worst issue with cashmere but get the black mats from day one and be prepared to steam clean the carpet every so often. The Havana and cashmere look fantastic and would be my choice next time. Cheers, Pete
  12. Love my White G6ET but would almost go Havana with Cashmere next time. This colour combination looks flash!
  13. Hi guys, Wondering if any one has removed the rear door trims and if this is difficult. Some p...k opened there door onto mine and I need to get a ding taken out of the driver side rear door. If I can get the inside door trim off it may give easier and better access for paintless dint removal. Cheers, Pete
  14. Hi guys, Trying to decide on a tyre around the $250.00-$300.00 per corner. Looking for reasonabzle performance but would like something quiet. What can people recomended, Cheers, Pete
  15. How do you find the noise level of the FK452's ? I bought some new wheels last week with these crap tyres fitted and the road noise is driving me nuts!
  16. Hi guys, Thinking these may be worth putting on my car but wondering if any one can recomended a tyre place around Moorabbin that won't jam me to hard on the price. Looking for replacement tyres that will give good performance and won't be too loud. (was also looking at the Falken FK452) Cheers, Pete
  17. Your correct Worm, same size front and back. (19x8.5) Was looking at going staggered but to hard in Vic with Insurance etc. Pete
  18. Decided I wanted a change from the FPV rims I have and bought a set of these. Thought people may like to see. Cheers, Pete
  19. Thanks boys, I thought that may be the case. Pete
  20. Hi guys, Looking at putting some 20 inch Zumbo rims on my G6ET and wondering what grief I will get from the Police in Victoria as I would like ten inch wide on the back. Have been trying to get info from the vicroads web site to confirm if this is ok or un-roadworthy. The other issue is if insurance will cover the wider rear wheels and tyres. Any help or info appreciated. Cheers, Pete
  21. Hi Tab, Installed one of the Laser UHF on glass (internal) antennas. Pete
  22. It has been hard wired Gussa. That is the GPS plugged in to the lighter socket. Pete
  23. Hi Guys, Just thought if anyone was thinking of doing a UHF install I would put up a photo of the one I have just put in the G6ET All very easy and the new GME is extra small so fits well. Radio works great and with the speaker built into the unit, is nice and clear. It looks like the unit is upside down as I have not put on the spare sticker. you can flip the display on these depending on which way you need to mount it. Pete
  24. A big thumbs up to Matt at Hendersons. Had the car there today getting a full alignment and so far very happy. Great service and a very fair price. Pete
