they are "samples" meaning see how you like it, and if you do like it buy it... you cant expect enough to last you months for free... I got mine today, and I am keen to try them and see how they go, have had a hard time finding an interior cleaner I'm happy with, as for the other two things, just a bonus, but I'll try em out.

considering that black is the colour of the earth wire in majority of automotive applications, and were making assumptions, you would be stupid to assume otherwise....

it actually looks like it didnt come out of it too bad, throw up some pics of it when its back off its lid, I think it might still have another life left....

I'd check the turbo bolts as well, mine was making a sound similar to what you describe anywhere more than 50% throttle, and it turns out all four bolts were almost out... tightened them up and sound was gone worth a shot before you get to worried about it.
