    Xr6t Or F6?

it is def. possible to get a demo f6 for less than 55, with options so id say 50 without many options is def doable in the right case ie kms/dealer/model such as runout BF not mkII.. a new one would be closer to 60, but I cannot see where the value is there. I priced up a new T with all the otptions I wanted and then added the costs that I knew id do asap such as rims, some sort of kit, better seats, brakes and it came out to be around 49k LOL.. that's not even considering dealer delivery, stampt duty, rego etc etc.. I then priced a few F6's with low kms (demos) and found I could get most around 52-55 with all varying options. Im very happy with my purchase of the F6 and regularly go in xr6/t and they dont feel special to me and on the odd occasions I drive them, they arent as good in the 'rounded package' idea.. interior is sub std IMHO, luxury pack is 250% a must in xr6t, wouldnt drive one without it, and even then seats brakes rims kit dont come to the table.. Good luck with your choice, I know where my money would be going.. or should I say did in the exact same situation!!
  2. I never knew such a large sized car could take 5 people, a tank of fuel, a packed boot and still haul arse while having some good handling while staying economical to run, this car is getting better and better I tell you guys - ofcourse you al know this howver. One downside to this car is all the ****heads come up n tail u, try n beat u off at the lights if your merging, I mean where is the sense in that!? Bloody annoying.
  3. Ha, of course not!! I think I made a big mistake with this car..
  4. If are that para about it; could you set up some sort of camera monioring system along with what you had in mind.. That way you can check it all out from your location instead of going to the parking garage every now and then. Is there video surveilence in there at all? I used to have a paging alarm with all the trimmings, it was a great alarm and would bep and vibrate when the alarm was going off; problem is you had to be within range of say 500m without too much inbetween, concrete floor wouldnt be ideal im sure. Now Im for the 'stock' take on security and would find myself saying 'that's what I have insurance for' in the event.. I certainly pay for it so why not use it as its meant for!?
  5. not a bad idea at all! its been wet all day here, and havnt driven it in the rain yet; all I know is absolutley everyone has told me to take it very easy! last night I seen a ba gt at the end of an on ramp backwards into the barrier, icy roads, rain = car must have spun out n that was that! ouch
  6. thanks for the kind words guys; the colour is awesome and as you say its very unique to the F6, which is why I went with it, plus loks hot in the sun haha. The fbt I got 16k for, now lives in cairns so I wont see it again which is painfull, loved that car! The FPV tissue box cover is not std, it was aftermarket off ebay, theres a guy selling them with different badge on the leather, looks very stylish inside and hides those ugly tissues/power socket! Yes, BF mk1
  7. Yer, was down there picking up someone from work, it was the only place that didnt have cars or trucks in it so figured while im waiting, time for PICS before the rain haha.. FBT - 1998 Fairlane by Tickford, beastly fairlane that I think changed the LWB market from then on.. Wish I could have kept it, but then id have a xr6 not an F6!!
  8. Thanks guys, cant wipe the stupid smirk off my face at the moment, and every tim I walk past the living room I see the car n stop haha! Post pics when you get it, I liked the neo, that or shockwave would have been my 2nd choice of colour if I was unable to find dejavu
  9. Well about a month or two ago I sold the FBT, awesome car, such a head turner, but alas it was time for an upgrade to sometihng a little newer and with all the options I could poke a stick at! So for the last two months or so I've been putting around in an old EBII Fairmont, nothing flash but being on LPG I caouln't complain about the money I saved in such the short period; hat a painful 8 weeks that was! Had planned on an xr6/t for about three months before hand n decided it wasnt quite what I was after, they didnt have that special feel to them, just another car.. I started looking at some GT/P's and decided they didn't do it for me, altho certainly sounded awesome just crusing around in, but the lack of urgency wasn't what I was after, again. Step in, F6 Typhoon, took one for a few drives, was very impressed, didnt quite feel right however, took another one for a drive and it was amazing; the 1st had to have something wrong with it as it just felt **** in comparison, cannot explain it.. So after a few (actually many) phone calls I decided on it and had signed the papers so get it all happening! Two weeks later I get a call while at work 'Daniel, what time do you finish today?' I mention after they close (thinking I had to sign more crap) then mention I was on lunch, they say 'Well we have something for you, you're FPV is ready for you to pick up!' so they come to my work, pick me up, take me to the dealership, final signature and they give me all the usual FPV bits n pieces and then the best bits, the keys! Fast forward, two weeks later I'm wrapped with the car, couldn't be happier, it is bloody quick steping from an EB fill in, it gets good fuel economy usualy 12-13L per 100km around town, thrashing around and work n back, it hasnt had any issues and excels in every aspect more than I could of expected! Slack (for me) to only get some pictures now, I'm always taking pics one place or another, so heres a few of many I took this morn; it looks fairly clean but honestly hadnt been cleaned in over a week, but the clody sky hides that, it looks very metalitc green/brown/purple in sun, AWESOME colour, love it!! Anyway, I will shut up n get to the pics and stop going on and on. FYI: ?06 BF Typhoon, Dejavu - 6sp Auto, Leather, Sunroof, 19?s, Electric Pedals, Tint, FPV Sports Wheel, FPV Mats with all the chrome engine bits from Pole Position in the mail!
  10. I just had my sunroof installed yest. and am wrapped! My first car had a sunroof and ever since then I have been kicking myself that I didnt put one in my 2nd car; 3rd car comes and it was all booked up asap. Cant get enough of it! I use it 99% of the time no matter what the conditionsa haha!

    Please Explain

This is also my most hated ad right now; you are correct, I've seen/heard it MANY times in one evening. It makes me wonder how people say 'why do all the mothers drive big 4wd to school' its not just stupidity, it's marketing and in this case it has worked itself into the mind of all with some little freak screaming that pathetic line. Oh and yes, he will regret that in the future, look out mum n dad haha! Sorry if my opinion offended anyone; just really hate hate hate that kids voice and line, put together its lethal.
  12. In the process of sorting finance; I want the best deal I can get. BTW: daniEl :D
  13. ooo, also has tint, dont forget the tint they told me, and I did! love that extra value; HAHA!
  14. 5000km im in melb and found most if not all dealers would do this price or close with subject to kms. I was warey of buying with kms on it, but it looks new and goes so well and imporantly smoothly/quietly. post some pics up when you take delivery tomorrow morn!!
  15. 06 dejavu bf typhoon 6 speed auto 19" rims leather interior electric pedals fpv mats 53 drive away I have my own fpv wheel to add, so that will go on the options list along with sunroof for under 2k. Can only hope things go smoothly and get approved asap.
  16. I bloody got that yesterday too, couldnt see it very easily with sh** all over the road around it (stones, chunks of road) I was driving the older form with huge tyre walls, no flat yet bt it sent one hel of a thud through the car. Could only imagine a decent sized rim hitting it!!!! Fkn city of casey, that's the 3rd one ive found this week!
  17. they are def better than 18" mk1 f6 rims optional 19"s still best
  18. looks great, they grey sections stand out really well on such bright colours! awesome
  19. many cars get damage on one or more panels when in transport. these issues are fixed at no cost of the dealer, but obviously wont tell you 'hey, jut letting you know this car im trying to sell you has been in a bit of an accident, nothing big but the doors and qtr. panel had to come off.. if you look here you can see...' HAHA I cant see them doing anything but saying its perfectly new and its not an issue; ti which Id respond, for my $60,000.00 it is an issue even if it is a ford, which makes it your issue, what will you do about it. If they wont do anything, go elsewhere mate, there are alot of dealers who will do whatever you need done, within reason, to keep you happy which keeps them happy. Im having the same discussion about about a few stone chips on a demo, they are keen to respray what ever is needed to my satisfaction at their cost.
  20. posted above whats included demo yes ive had a very very long look over this car, on 2 occasions and cannot fault it other than a stone chip or 2 (allbeit small and barely can see) on the bonnet. im looking to buy so its so hard not to be tempted.
  21. well seems like I got a decent offer. they called today n dropped another 1000 55 drive away id wanna add sunroof though. I really worry what this will be worth in 6 months time however seeing BA phoons for 40ish
  22. awww I need auto, meaning I need bf dodgy left knee
  23. I had quote of: 06 typhoon auto 6 sp 19 wheels auto pedals fpv mats leather trim but was demo with 6000kms 54 + orc said they'd get it under LCT I think I still rather wait for 2nd hand
  24. just figured that Id add, autobarn can get ahold of a smartlock bypass box which doesnt require you to hack your car to bits and it allows alarms to work as they should with it inc. remote start. I had this on my last ford with smartlock and I also had a switch WELL hidden so that I can go from smartlock bypass to smartlock at flick of a switch. worked a treat and looked stock and was stock at flick of a switch.
  25. would it realy be that much of a difference. anyone that buys a 4 door full sized family car / performance car cant honestly be too concerned about weight of trims haha my guess would be leather is heavier.
