  1. I might do this with you guys. I live in Rowville so Shell's just down the road (this is the one on the crn of FTG and Stud Yeah?). I'll bring a footy too.
  2. I don't think they can be fitted without relocating the ECU, and unless you have a different plenum fitted it wouldn't fit between the bonnet and factory crossover. Not much help there but that might be the reason why it's hard to find.

  4. Didn't have a chance to spend much time in the car. I'll try that out tonight.
  5. Sorry forgot to mention that it is a Mal Wood Box. Great service from those guys.
  6. 24 and bought my T when I was 20.
  7. Thanks for the quick reply. For some reason I thought that when I logged back on, you would be the one to answers my question. Yeah I thought there would be something like that. There's a small wire running from the selector box, must be running to the solenoid your talking about. I can breathe a bit easier now, knowing that I can thump it into 5th. Box feels OK. Needs all the new bearings and seals to bed in a bit first to get a better idea. I had a rip shifter in my old T5 which I loved but I didn't have enough funds to put one in the T56 so when that gets in I'll be happier.
  8. I got a T56 put in my T yesterday after the 5 speed say "NO MORE". The box held up for 2 years running 300rwkw so it did a pretty good job. Now, the weird question I have is about reverse. Driving home from Campbellfield to Lysterfield I was worried every time I chucked it into 5th I would slip and chuch it in reverse. Is there a sensor or a safe guard that doesn't allow you to put it in reverse until the speedo reads 0. Sorry for the strange and probably dumb question.
  9. Torque is the biggest killer of the T5 boxes. Especially alot low down. I say with that power figure you should be fine though. Have you got a stronger clutch? It will pay to look at an upgrade very soon.
  10. The lights will flash because your drawing alot more power from the battery. This will always happen to every battery you put in until you get a Capacitor. You can find these on ebay and they act as a extra power source.
  11. I'll try to come along for this one.

I priced up a set made in WA that were legal cause they had the auto levelers. They wanted $2,500.
  14. I'm actually doing the 5-6 speed upgrade next week some time. After running 300rwkw for around 2 years the 5 speed has finally cracked it with me.
  15. Couple of mine
  16. I'd keep an eye on Mining shares. BHP has taken a huge hit and will rebound very quickly.
  17. Sprayed mine the other week using regular spray paint. Used 2 coats of metal primer first then 3 coats of matt black paint. Came up awesome. I wouldn't worry about the High temp stuff.
  18. Try a company called Autoworks in East Keilor 9336 7770. They advertiser our car club and do all kinds of jobs. Not sure what they'll charge but I think there prices are pretty good.

Do seem a little quieter. I come on here most days but don't post alot. I more of the quiet type that just browsers. Maybe I should start posting a bit more.
  20. I've been running 300rwkw for about 2 years and my box is just about shot. Might last another couple of months.
  21. Thanks for the write up. I too have my catch can sitting in the garage for about 18months and never thought of doin something like that. Guess what I'm doing Sunday?
  22. Looks great Matt. Can the shift alert be adjust to any RPM? I would be really keen to do this. Will you be at the meeting on Wednesday? I'll talk to you about it then.
  23. Try ASL logistics. that's were I got mine from. It will convert the signal to run to the factory screen. Very simple to install. Plugs straight in. Cost is around $150.
  24. Great Idea. Mines just about stripped so it was time for a new plug. This will make it soooooooooo easy. Thanks for the link.
  25. I might come along for a little while. See you Sunday at the Glen.
