  1. was more interested in 4000 or street series slotteds can't justify the xrta coin for something that does the same job but a bit lighter especially when I already have to much power
  2. Hi guy's my Rspec is due for a new set of rotors (bremobo 4 pot calipers) on the front soon and was wondering where is the cheapest place to get them in Brisbane region and how much, preference would be for Dba's
  3. Pat did you remember to take that photo?
  4. I use amsoil
  5. ahh the good old day's when bathurst was really cool sierras, skylines, bmw's, fords, commodores, that was great racing, wish they would bring it back instead of v8 super sluts... I mean cars
  6. I work for a company that does hydraulic services design (plumbing and drainage) in Brisbane you can check them out at www.sweet.id.au I really enjoy it basically we do what an architect does but it relates to plumbing and drainage

  8. Hi guy's I am really getting annoyed with my exhaust rubbing on heat sheild under the car and was told that the BA exhausts on the typhoons etc had a bracket in the middle of them, can someone take a photo of the bracket and post it up so I know what to do to stop the exhaust moving, I didn't want to do a hard mounted bracket prefer to do something with a little bounce so it doesn't give bad vibrations throught the cabin.
  9. I had one on order at browns plains in brisbane but still hasn't arrived that was about 4 weeks ago, ford had to put the standard factory piece of crap in under warranty instead. good luck trying to get an answer James cause I couldn't get anything out of them they said they were available to me they just had to make some and it would take a week ???????????????? still waiting
  10. Guy's I have to fit the baby seats in the back of the typhoon in the next month as we are having twins and want to put a seat cover on firdt as I don't want to trash the leather from the plastic bits on the bottom of the baby seats, where do I get good quality rear seat covers from that aren't really thin and look like they go in grandpa's car. went and had a look at autobarn and it looked like they only had the front's, looking in brisbane area. also was hoping for black or drak grey covers to match the front leather seats.
  11. get rid of the 5 minute parking out the front then !! I had to keep shifting the car when someone turned up... lol There was a dude passed out in the gutter out the front when I drove past a bit later it wasn't you walking home from a night out was it summoner?
  12. Hi guy's, Just noticed my diff bush is busted and it's going into ford to have a look at it and hopefully get fixed under warranty. Is there anyone in brisbane that has done the dish bush change to the poly fulcrum bush or something else. I just wanted to get a listen to how loud the rear end is when this is swapped for something stronger as I am keen to do the upgrade if it is not stupidly noisy.
  13. Had a great time once again, Love Cav's steakhouse need to go again in near future as my mouth is still watering YUM!!!! :banghead: I went for a drive through surfers afterwards and decided to take a few car shots seeing I haven't taken any of my car properly yet so this is what I came up with. Found some cool places to take photo's so will have to do some more shots when I get a chance next time I'm down the coast. had a play around in photoshop to produce a see thru bonnet shot like they do in fast fours and zoom mag's
  14. I can't believe a movie (Wall-e) has a script that has no more than 1 a4 pages words on it for the whole movie could be so entertaining, almost a silent movie. absolutely brilliant definetley buying this it's going straight to the pool room 100 out of 10

  17. just another marketing ploy to sell more cars, obviously but I certainly would buy one with decals like that down the side of it. mags look kind of interesting not sure if I like em or not.
  18. If you are keen you could possible use a nut breaker and split the nut to get it off or hack saw the side of the nut off if you don't have one. You will need to replace the stud afterwards if you do either of these. if you can't get to the last nut you might need to remove your manifold first. As for getting studs out without damage them you need to use two nuts locked together and use the second lower nut (closest to item stud is in) which binds against the top nut to get them out, if you are lucky they will come out other wise you will need to weld something to them and get new studs. I always replace my studs if they come out, same with any gaskets etc. old stud's which are around heat are always bad news e.g turbo studs, exhaust studs. low temperature studs like studs on intake manifolds can usually be reused once or twice successfully.
  19. it's finally here been wanting them for ages but they only did a 60mm dm200 obd2 guage I am difenetly getting one now the imfd modules can hook up to these gauges and display the info as well I believe
  20. Don't use additives just use a good synthetic oil. most synthetic oil manufactures do not recommend additives. I use AMSOIL in my car SAE 10W-40 Synthetic Premium Protection Motor Oil http://www.amsoil.com/ but many of the guys here use the products below. at the end of the day the more money you spend generally the better the oil and the better the engine life Castrol edge synthetic Mobil one synthetic Nulon synthetic havoline synthetic Redline http://www.redlineoil.com.au/ If want real good protection then you need t use bypass filters, etc or a pre charge system like this below. I am putting one on my car next oil change most likely as the kays are up enough for proper engine bed in. http://www.amsoil.com/StoreFront/images/amk04_900px.jpg The AMS-Oiler® is a high-tech oil pre-charger that puts an end to potential dry-engine starting. Typically, an engine that has sat for even a short period of time will operate relatively dry upon starting before oil is able to fully lubricate the system. The AMS-Oiler® operates as an engine oil reservoir, charged under pressure directly from the oil pump output during normal engine operation. Upon turning the ignition key to the on position, up to 160 cc’s (5.4 oz.) of oil are discharged from the reservoir to engine surfaces, building oil pressure and providing vital lubrication.
  21. My axle tramp is pretty much gone now happens once in a blue moon and that is with the stock almost ready to change dunlops on it. I did the following and it seems to have fixed itself. Bilstein shocks, king springs, sway bars, cut lower bump off bump stop power upgraded to 330+rwkw the power upgrade seems be the biggest thing that fixed the problem. hard to know though without pulling all the suspension out and trying it with same power. only seems to axle tramp now when tyres have got really hot and are starting to get sticky from to much heat in them. E.g. just after it has been on the dyno and then on the track.
  22. Aww I only got 12.1 Lt/100kms with a 300+Kw tune someone must be stealing that extra litre of fuel and some of my tire rubber Had a great day apart from having to leave after lunch cause I had to do plumbing work for a mate, karts looked like fun though. I suppose It would of not been fair with me karting anyway cause I would have lapped everyone at least twice cause They would of followed the leader the wrong way
