sorry for the double up.... I just started reading this thread. http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph...st&p=629443 I wish I had the cash to just take it to a shop and say give me 350rwkw... and pick it up in a few days time... also is I inline pump best or a intank???
-
hi guys... im fitting up my cooler and UBP this weekend and getting my Deka injectors fitted and a tune ASAP after cooler fitted... my question is a what power should I look at doing the fuel pump??? is it worth my while to fit one before this next tune? im hoping for around the 250-260RWKW this tune.... also is the bosch 044 the pick or Walbro??? or is it just a personnel preference??? also I know I dont need 1 at this power but it can't heart right? or wrong?
-
Nice... thanks guys... now only problem is I am running a Haltech intercepter not a flash box.... not my fault!! the previous owner put it in, something about is easier from a tuners perspective to tune on the run than the flash box.... seems to work fine, its a piggy back so still have all the car factory stuff still. I'll give Jason at Southern Motor Works a call tomorrow and check it out, otherwise I found a haltech specalist called screamin performance in fairy medow (north gong)

hay guys, just wanted to know if any one knows of some good spots in Wollongong for a re-tune... and injector fitting as I'm not fitting them and driving the car want them fitted and tuned at same time. I have been to South Coast Rotary.... but as the name suggests its not exactly a ford specialist. HELP!! cheers James

what size is the stock plumbing.... im putting on my monza/wog cooler soon and if I go get some good clamps first that might save me some time latter on. MIKA now that its fitted with all clamps has it make a difference??? or do you not expect to see a difference until after the re-tune??

sorry to ask again but it seems I got missed....... what sort of power can the old 4 speed auto handle.... I got an auto after never owning 1 before because of the T5 being weak.... still trying to get use to it..
-
so whats the ORION going to have... if ford is going to a V6 wouldn't this be the best bet??? are they keeping the xr6t when it's released??? that aside seems like a awsome idea. wanted to twin turbo my H6 liberty but it would have been so expensive.... only reason I didn't look into it.

nice, trying to work out if I wanted stripes or not.... where did the scuff plates come from???
-
yeah sorry chain belt... that's why I do most of the services... not all. plus im just use to the term... timing belt.... no screw it a a dump *beep*, I should have known that. yeah dont worry im looking into the service, that's why I was reading the book to see if there where spacifics that needed doing... but there isn't so ford really dont give to shiiits. cheers
-
Hi all, just wanted to ask the audience a question... does any 1 do there services or do they take them to FORD? I ask this as my last car was a my06 3.0RB subaru Liberty.... it had about 6 different services in the book. I look at my BA series service book and I got 2 A and B.... now I do peitty much all my own maintain (I didn't on the Suby as they are finiky with warrenty stuff... so I paid through the arsssse for it) and looking through my book as it seems my car has not offically been serviced for 35k I am a little worried. no mention of timing belts, plug replacement and the bigger things. subaru itemised absolutly everything, does any 1 know that the idea times to do things like timing belts are... or do you wait till I send something through the block to know its time....

-
I dont think they would.... that's why you get brakets with the PBR premo kit.... but im sure one of the brake companies should be able to bag some out... would be massivly cheaper!
-
just take to them with side cutters... that's all I did n get a grab kit of them from autopro/autobarn/supercheap for like $4

OK SEEMS THIS HAPPENS IN THE US of A, JUST TODAY I WAS WATCHING YANK TV SHOW RIDES (SEASON 4 DISK 5, SECOND EPISODE) WELL THEY WHERE "CUSTOMIZING" A NEW HHR CHEV SUV THING... (IM GETTING TO THE POINT) AND 1 OF THE TEAMS FOUND THAT THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH ROOM IN THE ENGINE BAY TO FIT A TURBO.... SO THEY CUT THE REAR MUFFLER AND DID EXACTLY WHATS IN THE PICS..... FROM PAGE 1 OF THE POSTS.... 2 OF THE OTHER TEAMS PUT LS6 V8'S IN THEM BUT HAY..... SO THERE YOU GO.
-
YEAH MINE ARE BLUE CALIPERS (SILVER CASE)... JUST WANTED TO SEE IF THE COLOUR WHEEL COME UP WITH ANYTHING.
-
so using your wheel what colour is best with black??? any cause its not on there????
-
just dont race 2 many rice burners... you will give the "turbo" a bad name... I can hear it now "me mate tony bro beat a fully sick custom brnt oringe xr6 turbo, in his V-tech civic"
-
that's the plan! make them work for it! every1 else can just be in on the joke.....
-
im bias... blue caliper with black or silver caliper cage....
-
not that it means much... but I just learnt that the PBR premo upgrade front calipers are the same as whats on the c5 and c6 corvette stock... interesting
-
Definitely pull them off the car, its not worth the mess, or the overspray! just work at it with any de-graser.... shouldn't really matter, its all about how long you take
-
I used a mates work shop de-greaser... dont know is exact name pe101 or something and it looks like coolant. used under 1 litre for all 4, and a scotch brite pad.

Painted my brakes over the weekend, pulled them off, pulled them apart, degreased and clean them.... and its on a siluette (black T), I didn't paint the hubs as I am getting some slotted disks in the next few weeks. This is the result..... :lupie: :lupie:

they are way to skinny for a xr6t, no wonder they sound like a 60s car chase! my 245s (18s) get a betting as it is, I recon if I had 225s they would last me no more than 6 months and they would be smooth....... :nuke: :nuke: the 255/30R20 would be massive wouldn't it?! so you run the 245/30R20 do you??? the local tyre man said he tried them on his ute with no joy.... the front off set would be them same I think. ill have to ask about the falkens as he wanted to sell me nexens or nankangs.....
-
Hay ALL I'm looking at getting some 20s for my T and wanted to know what you guys (or Galls) are running in the way of tyre profile.... as my local "wheel man" says 245/35/20 will scrub... but a 225/35/20 would be fine... now 245s are getting burnt on a daily bases in the form of 245/45/18 so 225/35/20 are not even an option! there is such and animal as a 245/30/20 but is a nankang piece of brown stuff that should be in the toilet! 19s on the other hand have any brand any size.... cheers :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock:
