  3. Cool, where did you bring it to?
  4. G'day, My previous car was a BF2 XR6T with BMC Air Filter, F6 CAI and 10PSI tune. It pulled 256rwkw and was equipped with a 6spd ZF Auto. I'm currently driving a 6spd manual FG XR6T and while it is heaps more fun, the BF hoses all over it in a straight line. I'm at least half a second behind. Probably needs a driver mod though. On the track, I have lapped quicker in the FG around Barbagallo raceway than the modified BF. Manual vs Manual, my money is on the FG winning more consistently, but it would be pretty even. Put your car up against a ZF6 equipped FG XR6T, and my money is on the FG all night long. There is plenty of evidence of mid 12 second stock standard FG XR6T's (with the ZF6); put your gonads on the line (literally) and see if you can beat mid 12's. If you cant, you have your answer.
  5. George and I have the same LPG setup (more and less) and get the same economy (280-310km's per tank). But lets put this into perspective; your fuel usage is a little higher than average, so it stands to reason your LPG usage is too. Lets continue to put this into perspective; it costs you $80+ to go 440-450km on petrol but $50 to go 420km (210km x 2 tanks) on LPG!!! that's a pretty massive saving!!! I personally think there might be something not quite right with your setup, but your savings are still definitely there. If you fill up once (ok twice now lol) a week then you are saving $1500 a year! that's REAL money! YOUR money! It's the inconvenience here that I think is annoying you. When I got mine installed, my first few tanks were only giving me about 200km but once I 'drained' the tanks a few times the vapour ECU started to better gauge how much I could get etc. Seeing as it's been a few months, how is it going now?
  6. nar we're stuffed lol
  7. A few examples of B series F6 getting into the 12's stock here. Not done as often and doesn't seem to be as easily repeatable as the G6eT based on the amount of people getting into the 12's now with them: Australian Ford Forums - Quickest Stock F6 Agree with most sentiments here, stock for stock the G6eT will eat up a BF F6 off the line; the F6 *might* claw it back over distance but by then the 1/4 mile would be over. On the track, I would favour the F6 for its superior suspension and brake setup etc. In saying that, I would gladly own either car (preferably at the same time :D )
  8. Speaking of which... http://www.fpvtickfordclubwa.com.au/forums...ic=3968&hl=
  9. mercuryturbo, try an FPV Tickford Owners club forum too for info. We have quite a few in the WA club and I'm sure the people would be happy to answer questions. Good luck with the search; the only AU I would ever own. T
  10. Damn low 12's on tune only?? I need to learn how to drive!
  11. Wow I can't believe I found a thread on this topic not locked...about 5 over on AFF that are all locked. So after reading 50 pages of this stuff across various forums the only sentiment I can think of is that SCT are messed up. Its frustrating that people like 03XR6T get banned from AFF because he doesn't want to get on the "lets congratulate SCT for coming to the party" bandwagon. Yep lets sweep it under the rug and make SCT the good guys in all of this. BULL. I have been using a SNIPER for well over a year now and from what I have read and spoken to my tuner about, the SNIPER is superior to SCT with the exception of SNIPER playing catch up to program against all variants of the Falcon ECU. My dad now stores his tunes for his Turbo on my SNIPER, savings us $$$. Initially there was no tune for his car available so Barry sent away for it and SNIPER built a tune and sent it over to Barry @ BPT in short order. Keep your options available, there is more than just SCT out there and like Toyota they have been relying on a "reliability" name built up over years. Well that name is now MUD! Phew...glad there was still a thread open where I could rant
  12. Wouldn't mind watching, whats the go with spectators? $240pp damn...that's $140pp more than what we have hired Barbagallo for...and that's about 6 hours of circuit racing, half of it at night (I.e. awesome for the turbos ) Surprised they dont allow more than 12-20 cars? I wonder what the reasoning is for this? Too hard to manage perhaps?
  13. Did anyone notice the Superoo sticker in the photos in the second page of this thread? Its sitting on top of the gold/puss decall just in front of the front tyres. Also is it just me or is that Shaker much closer to the windscreen than most shaker setups on the Boss cars? Its almost pointing skywards?
  14. Looks fake to me, and that has to be one of the worst paint/decal setups I have seen. Especially if he paid $7k for it! I can't see any pod gauges in it...did BA1 GT's come with pod gauges? T
  15. that's still a brilliant time for a stock car mate. Give it a few months when the freezing cold nights come back and you will get into there no worries! I found these temps were worth a few tenths easy!
  16. Welcome Layton, the 6 speed ZF are tough as nails mate, you really cannot go wrong. Easily the best 6 speed auto on the market at the moment and they can handle huge amounts of power. They are significantly quicker than the manual. A fellow club member got 12.6 down the 1/4 a few weeks back in a stock FG F6 which is way ahead of the best times I have heard in the manuals. But it really depends on your personal taste.
  17. The average for a stock F6 is low to flat 13's but a few peeps took their Phoons into high twelves when 100% stock so you might be able to get similar numbers mate. Stock BF Xr6T's were getting 13.6-13.7 stock down the 1/4 with the 6 speed ZF (I did 13.74 stock) so you will better that at the least Checkout: http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11216379
  18. Gah I'm so p!ss3ed I miss this night...wrote it down and all! Can we do over? Yer that was one of our club members with their brand spanker stock as a rock FG F6 with the ZF6. They managed a 12.6 for the night in the end. Dont feel too bad, they frequent the track a fair bit so they have some good experience T
  19. agree with all posts here, tuners can also do amazing things with the ZF6 especially through SNIPER. They can tighten shift points and if you like that kind of thing they can make it churp at every aggressive gear change etc... My ZF6 changes gear heaps harder since the tune
  20. I read somewhere that as little as an extra $20 a week into your mortgage can save you up to $10,000 in interest over a 20 year loan. Start voluntarily putting in little amounts into your Mortgage and it will start to add up over time. if you can do the same for the T, even as little as $10-$20 this will allow you to finish your repayments a few months earlier It all adds up, just be patient.
  21. Double income no kids (DINK) arrangement here, so paying triple the required repayments for the T to get it paid off in 2 years and an extra 25% on the mortgage repayments to keep ahead on that...saving at a pretty good rate for a rainy day too Putting the T on gas is saving me $2,500 a year now. Best move I made with this car.
  22. let me know how the 42lb go. I received my 60lb Siemens around about the same time I saw you and George having these probs, so if they can get something working with the 42lb I might sell them off and get some 42lb injectors instead. They can give more power than I want anyway so...
  23. I got told by RAGE Racing I could pay another $900 for another LPG converter and that was good for 700HP (current system only good for around 280rwkw I think) They tuned up and put a W427 on this system no worries with the extra Converters Give Tyson a call as he can give better advice, T
  24. Yep she is running perfect. Going to get it retuned again soon when the cooler arrives with a better exhaust etc Can't wait! But I will have to...probably the end of this year to start of next year...
  25. D-I-S-G-U-S-T-I-N-G-!-!-!-! Absolutely awful...
