What are you talking about you drive like a pussycat <{POST_SNAPBACK}> HAHAAHAH LOL, you should talk to Master G hahaha

Hi Aaron, Another Phantom over here mate if you are still looking for cars. Let me know, Mt Annan is only 20 mins from my place so it shouldnt be a problem. Regz, Dean

The bosch 968's should do the trick and the CAI you can make yourself and will probs cost you 50bucks (if even) for parts). PS, keep us informed on how you go with the ecutek type tune. I know my cuz had an ecutek in his rexie and he had to pull it out because it wasnt working as well as it was claimed. He now runs a power fc which he says is alot better.
-
Agreed JB. Turning I think is the main difference, im pretty sure Spiro can tune my car to run alot more torque down low however that would surely destroy my box quick smart. You are right though, different products deliver different power.....Even with the same product the tune would have some impact on how long the various components last. I think I have been lucky with my car in a sense that I dont have box issues nor did I have clutch issues. Clutch has since been replaced with an xtreme organic and the car is running sweet....... Actually I lie....there is one problem.......My stupid 265's at the back cant hold traction LOL Regz Dean

You should be fine with those mods.....considering what you said about your driving style. I dont take it that easy on mine, I like to give it more squirts then driving normally and my T5 has held 305rwkw (with Unichip) for over 30,000km. My standard clutch lasted me for a good 20 before it got changed. As far as the exhaust goes, the major restriction in the system is the cat convertor. I am not sure how much of an impact the dump pipe will have as the factory dump pipe is fairly good, I am however running a split pipe system, 3" dump and 1.7" wastegate pipe. Regz Dean

You have two options really. You could go something like APS phase 1 or the Edit. Both will get you around the same amount of power and both will cost you around the same amount of dollars. Otherwise if your after just a bit of power increase, take a look at the XForce exhaust systems. A 3" system will give your stock car an increase of approx 14rwkw and they sound great. If you are interested in Dyno sheets, look at the following link:: http://www.bestmufflers.com/Information/Cu...yno_Results.htm Regz, Dean

After you have your car impounded for 3 months for street racing you take a different view of the matter. Your statement would indicate you have not been through that process. With authority comes responsibility. Brian <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I lost my license for street racing a while back so yeah I know how it feels to get hit by the law. However, in my personal opinion, the police that do this wont hassle you as much as the ones that dont.....within reason. If you are doing something outright stupid, then so be it, but I find their tolerence is higher.

Meh, they are only human, nothing wrong wih them enjoying the cars. To be honest, it would be nice if there were more of them around.
-
Mmmm that still sounds restrictive, I went from the std cat to a high flow car with a 3" exhaust (single high flow muffler) and gained approx 14rwkw.

LOL some of us purchased a car with Paint. Others took the cheap way out and skipped the paint options.....that's all I'll say !!! LONG LIVE PHANTOM -
Yup Yup Ugy, the cat is a major restriction in the system. Id suggest replacing it with a hi flow car....Im currently running the 4" SMB Cat @ 300+ rwkw....the cat does a great job. I have however also changed my dump pipe to a split pipe system, but will once again change that soon to a 4" pipe.

If a pack of dogs, or even a dog on its own attacks a person, what do we do with the dog??? We put it down!!!! Enough said by me, the sentance above is basically how I feel about the subject !!!

I spoke to Mal wood about a month ago regarding a T56 for mine. I was told the RRP is $6900 plus clutch kit. Further to this, they do offer a buy back/trade in on your standard box, how much you get will depend on what contition the box is in.

Hmmm would be interesting to get confirmation on this, as I always thought they had to get the evidence lawfully.

You wouldn't stand a chance mate, have you seen his new ride? http://forums.autotechengineering.com.au/I...hp?showtopic=76 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Finally something he can handle and suits him too <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LOL and its still faster then the GT What a great peice of machinery LOL I might tag along, see what happens a bit closer to the date

Dont think the Edit works for the BF yet..... something to look into !!
-
Yeap Yeap, developed on mine and to be honest have not had one person say they dont like the sounds thus far. Everybody loves it (barring my mum who thinks it sounds like a tractor lol) mercurysteve, something doesnt sound right there mate, as I went the opposite way, I gained power (as my dyno sheets show in the above link). Very Very strange.
-
So theoretically, doesnt this mean that any evidence he has taken of speeding drivers is now rendered useless, as it wasnt taken in a lawful manner ???
-
Yeap, dump pipe needs to be changed to go more then approx 270rwkw, this is the max power I hit before we had to increase the size of the exhaust system, including the cat and dump pipe. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> so the stock system can go handle more then? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> um, not sure I follow your questions. Let me be a bit more specific on my previous post. I was running the std dump pipe with the 3" dump pipe back system (including the same cat you get on these systems now). I had that setup tuned to about 270rwkw before we found that a larger system was needed. At this point the system was upgraded to 3.5" and the time pipe is a custom split pipe, however a 4" pipe would be more then enough for over 300rwkw.
-
How can it be the same when you are changing the dynamics of how the gases flow. Single piple vs splitting the pipes up. Have a look at the link I have posted, where you will see dyno sheets showing the increase in power when the system were changed. Doesnt look like a waste of money going by those results.
-
yes it is to any1 for any time... he said if you pay more your paying too much <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Last I heard they cant get them anymore. Regardless, $850 is how much you should be paying for the mild steel system. Either way, Bestmufflers does provide Awsome service, Chris has done a number of exhausts on my car and I have never had any problems. I recieved a bit of attitude from Croydon when I called them for information (over the phone), so id be saying stick to Best Mufflers if you are in syd.

Hi Guys, If you are interested in the Xforce systems have a look at the following url: http://www.bestmufflers.com/Information/Cu...yno_Results.htm These systems were originally developed on my car and we found a definate increase in power....as the dyno sheets on the above url will show. Id suggest doing a search on some of my posts, as I have posted alot of information about this. Otherwise feel free to PM me for more details. Regards, Dean
