  2. Ok so what would be reasonable timeframe in regards to the age of new tyres before we purchase them???? 6 months,more.....
  3. Shanks Brendan....might just do the suspension while I'm at it.....f#@k it.. And Luke you are a plethora of information man..................what is a plethora
  4. Hey brah wouldnt it be worth getting a trickle charger or something you can just hook up all the time or is that what you are saying Luke???... 19" Henesseys...$250 each +35 fronts, +45 rears Dude I'm never going bald bruthaaaaaaaaa....
  5. So whats the consensus with most ppl on here, staggered fitment or same all round???? I'm assuming the spare will be to suit the rears yes (OD) I am in the fortunate position to get a free ride in regards to freight from the U.S so I might get treads at the same time...
  6. ok sounds good,so does the car need to go on the rollers to have it tuned or is it just flashed in and drive away??
  7. Cool Brendan well hopefully Simon has it sussed in time for my next trans service....even though this is not the forum to talk about it can you quickly extol the virtues of such tuning....( chippa been drinking again)
  8. Tuning the ZF sounds like a real head f#@k is it really worth doing????.......I heard its about 2 weeks away.... I did the conversion to steel pan etc some time ago with TZ runs great no probs...if I had a hoist I'd do it myself its not a hard job really to do...used to do my C4 all the time..... P.S you need to teach me how to use live link 6.3...
  9. Should only need 1.6 ltrs of diff oil go to supercheap or somewhere and get a hand pump like Arron said makes life alot easier.....Steve dont know what additive they are using mate but its not needed with the SAF-XA its already in it.......bout time you serviced the auto in your mega high k chariot or have you already done the conversion????
  10. She can back up on me like a yabbie any day....
  11. STOP IT !!!! .......your hurting my brain
  12. Its not a hard job really not much diff to doing my C4 back in the day... Heres the refill procedure from ZF http://www.zf.com/na/content/media/united_states/corporate_replacement_parts_1/service_portfolio/passenger_cars/6HP26-28_Catalog.pdf get a thermal reader stick it on the pan get it up to 40 deg, check level at filler hole...done
  13. I have had the Steel pan conversion done...I have dropped the oil once and had TZ put in...and that was about 1-1/2 years ago and no probs at all. It is going to be dumped again soon and filled back up with TZ...I think that if you stick to the same routine in regards to warming up your driveline as I do everytime before I open her up all should be good , I think that this the key to longevity but I'm realistic enough to understand that wear will happen no matter what. My two cents
  14. haha Arron you poor bugger!!!! the joys of owning an exotic example of the species....I take it Mr Birch has sorted it all out now???
  15. Haha well yes that's part of the reason I go by that handle Luke on here....na a chippy is generally slang for a carpenter...their the rough cousins of cabinetmakers hehe....

Pretty sure Penrite do an oil for ZF's http://www.penriteoil.com.au/tech_pdfs/102%20ATF%20APPLICATIONS%20UPDATE.pdf I have Transmax Z in mine....no probs so far....
  17. Chippa is a Cabinetmaker...
  18. That really sh*ts me because I sent an email to Nulon a while ago asking them for there advice with the extra power that I was running and they recommended the 15w50 which I have been running for the last 25k (just serviced it @55k with 15w50 again,do it every 5k). I'm really over this subject how can Ford and other oils say run a 15w40 and others say a 0w40 for the same motor??? My way of thinking was with the extra power going up to the 50 wouldnt be such a stretch with the extra boost etc... I just think that I will give the 0w40 a go on the next change to see what it is like....very confused I'm going outside to have a beer and talk to my dog about it....haha
  19. Yeah there the ones that Dean was practicing on with a cordless drill to port out the quad orifices to 90lb's Uneven spray patterns are ok arent they??? hahaha

My brother inlaw is the Toyo racing development distributor for W.A so if you want a price on some R1R's or some other let me know and I will try and get a good price for ppl if anyone is interested... Oh ok Dean wasnt sure who you were refering to...all good, did I sound like I was getting defensive???? haha I tried to get some treads for last night but left my run a bit late ...no big deal it will be nice and cold still come September
  24. Who's running KU 36's ???? I run Toyo T1Rs hence the reason why I didnt run as I cant afford to f*ck them atm.....need to get back up north on a 8n6 (Perth coin is sucking balls)so I can afford to do stuff again.... P.S go the white EF in the snakepit last night!!!! engine hung on rather well considering the pain he was giving it and was still running after popping both rears....couldnt say the same for the commos haha...
