Hi guys and girls, Quick questions about thermostats.. I know alot of you change to a high flow, low temp thermostat, and I understand that these will open at a lower temp then the standard ones. Why wouldn't they just install these factory if they reduce the engine temp? Does the use of a lower temp high flow thermo reduce power or anything? What brand/types are you all using? And how much are they worth? P.S My totally stock xr6t constantly sits just under halfway on the temp guage, does this sound like it's running too hot?

Just my opinion is all, not worth much lol. Just had a bit of experience in the area. Take it to court and let us know, will be interesting to find out. I'm not on here to argue, goin to watch a movie now. Catch.

I'm not talking about admissability, I'm saying it won't help. But by all means, try. TMU seeing as I'm from Vic, but whatever traffic unit callsign may apply to the relevant state or territory.

Mate TMU workers have contested hearings every week and they have heard it all, you bringing anything into court isn't going to help you. At the end of the day you sped and got caught. And as far as showing pictures to a Superintendent to get the police officer charged, I wouldn't waste my time or embarrass myself. My 2c.

Jesus christ, I never knew that they were so hard to fit!!! Labour more than the parts, that is unreal. I actually bought them online so I haven't been to nizpro, but I'll get them to fit them I spose. The bloke I spoke to wanted the head off because he said he did one and dropped a collet into the sump or some crap story...

I think they are speed limited to somewhere over the 200kph area...

If you were running 15psi, wouldn't that push you over 300 easily? The tuner I spoke to said he could get 260 on 10psi... What is your sig referring to 450rwkw, that's confusing me... How mush RWKW are you running right now and are you happy with it?

Okay guys and girls the time has come and I need some advice!!!!! I have almost gathered my pieces and am looking at fitting/tuning next month. Just need to buy a flash box from C&V next pay day. I have money put away for the tune. 02 baxr6t, rapid cooler & CAI, high flow cat minus center muffler, siemens injectors & valve springs. I have been researching the T's for ages now and always had my mind set on the magical figure of 300RWKW. I'm not really sure why, just always wanted to have that power figure. Spoke to a workshop last week where I'm looking at getting the car custom tuned and they recommend tuning the car to 260RWKW. This saving the transmission from blowing up. The workshop said that there is not much of a difference b/w 260 and 300 at the wheels, and if I want to get 300RWKW I will need to upgrade the dump pipe and get a cam. I know from you guys and this forum that this is not the case.... The workshop I went to wants to custom tune it to 10PSI and says that any more would result in too high temps in the cylinders and more trouble for me.. Quote for the tune was b/w $700 & $900. BTW this is a reputable well known workshop and I am not trying to put them down in any way, just want some opinions and advice. QUESTIONS!! Do you guys agree with the 260RWKW for saving the Tranny? (4spd auto) I plan to fit a trans cooler to it anyway.. Can anyone recommend a workshop in the western suburbs of Melbourne to do a custom tune for what I am after? I plan on fitting the CAI, I/C and exhaust myself and getting the workshop to fit the injectors and custom tune. Any ideas on a ball park figure? Ive made a post in another section about the valve springs so I wont even go there. Thanks for reading this long winded speel, but I'm pretty excited about finally modding the stock T, and I want to get it all done the right way.

I got a quote today from a local performance shop to FIT valve springs to my baxr6t that I have already purchased.. He said if I get the head removed he will fit them to the head for 600 dollars. 600 DOLLARS! Is this normal? That is double what I paid for Nizpro Valve springs! Can someone please point me in the right direction or recommend a workshop in Melbourne to fit the springs, and some sort of price figure. Thanks heaps.

hmm I have premium sound and a 6 stacker in dash but under the tissue holder tray is just a little plastic looking socket with no inputs...

So how did you plug the actual xbox into the ICC? I know you got a cord from someone but where does that connect to? Im going to have an attempt as soon as I figure out how to do it all... :D

Can someone please link me in the right direction.. I have a BA xr6t with premium sound, want to jack an xbox into the screen. HOW??? What do I need to do this? How do you switch from the xbox back to the heater controls once this is done? Does the premium sound screen have enough colours to watch a dvd? Does anyone have a guide to modding an xbox's power supply? Where do people mount the xbox? Thanks heaps...

Yeah that car XRT300 I saw parked up inside preston autos in Campbellfield.. Also had a chat to a bloke in a green XR with no badges, no spolier, huge wheels parked at McDonalds in Tullamarine but didn't mention the forums.. That car looked sweet. Could just see the massive IC at the front.

Im in the same situation, nearly have all the bits and pieces and want to fit the cooler, CAI and muffler myself and drive it to the tuner. Looks like I'll just leave the injectors and valve springs for the tuner to do and ill do the rest myself.
