I could be wrong but ive been told its not just sitting still with your foot on the brake but just sitting still as the pads are still resting on the rotors creating hot spots if your giving your brakes a workout in traffic the trick is to just let the car roll slowly forward and back a few feet while waiting for the lights to change and not letting heat build up in anyone place cheers trev

I couldnt be bothered reading the whole post ...... but ask yourself this if your car runs out of fuel at 1/4 of a tank at what point is it leaning out the engine id be pulling out your fuel pump asap and see why its not working as it should I can you tell you I have a walbro installed in my car and ive driven down to 10km to emtpy once or twice when ive been unable to find 98 octane only slow of cause as I dont wish to blow my motor from it running lean under throttle as for how it all fits I cant remember as I done mine years ago but if the fuel gauge is still reading correct it has to be your pump not sitting correctly in the bottom of the swirl pot in any case remove it befor you need a new engine and a new fuel pump cheers trev

the penrite oil I used meets the 6 speed zf gearbox requirments used in our cars and so do many other oils the box used in our cars has been around for years in other cars unless you enjoy giving ford even more money the standard oil (Shell ATF M-1375.4) is nothing special regardless of what ppl on this site like to think and the only reason its so dear is because ford au own the rights to sell it simple as that supply and demand $$$$$$$ http://www.penriteoi...0JAN%202010.pdf

I paid 132 bucks I think for the filter from ford which is also the plastic sump you cracked and oil to suit in a 20ltr drum from my local parts shop for about 250 bucks I think penrite was the oil I bought I cant remember the grade the drums in the shed I can have a look tomorrow if needed ive been using it for 60000km with no problems so far also with supplying parts the local gearbox guy only charges me 140 bucks for an oil and filter change he also does all the local ford dealer work and has repaired a few zf boxes for ford the shop is based in wollongong though in any case anybody charging more than 400 bucks for an oil and filter change using after market oil is ripping ppl off cheers trev

sounds like a plan I got ass f*cked over xmas and now im off the road for 3 months my first speeding fine in 2 years and befor that 15km and under 3 years befor that considering I was doing 40000km a year I think that's a pretty good effort really ive got no problem with speed cameras its the placement of speed cameras that gets my blood boiling how about placing them in all school zones and high accident areas for a start then maybe if the goverment wants some more money place them when speed limits drop from say 70,80,90 to say a 60,50,40 zone not 100m from a speed zone increase hiding behind a tree cheers trev

why do the police need fg f6 or hsv holdens anyway besides to waste more tax payers money its really not needed I can understand the need for better brakes so an fg xr6t with bremos should be the most they waste I think and spend the left over money buying general duties officers better cars or put a few more officers on either option is better than wasting it on cars that arent needed cheers trev

Surely your views would be anything that stops someone from speeding at anytime is a good thing, Or are you only against this as it may put you and your buddies out of a job. the current places I see speed cameras set up are a joke in most cases we all know it but just like everybody else I bitch and moan about it and do nothing to try and change the rules if the goverment actually gave a sh*t speed cameras would be in school zones built up areas around the city as well as other heavry traiffic zones same as rbt testing and on busy counrty roads booking idoits trying to over take in places not suited or spending far too long on the wrong side the road not hidden at the start to an express way or hidden between trees in 100kph zones booking drivers doing 10kph over limit drivers are never going to take the speed kills campain seriously when every second driver has a speed ticket by being booked in some speed trap set to for no reason besides making money cheers trev

A simple point also. Ask yourself honestly what your attitude was like when you spoke to them when you got out of the car. Did you get out with the attitude, "F**k you guys, I'm in the right"? every topic like this im always reading how was your attitude when you were pulled over I dont see how that has anything to do with it the law was either broken or it wasnt simple as that the owner of the car has every right to be pissed off if he was booked for no reason why would you be nice to some asshole who you know dam well isnt going to listen you anyway im sure if I came around to your house to do some electricail work and said look well the job was $1000 but ive been picking up a bit of attitude so now its going to be $1500 lets call it a wanker tax maybe next time I rip you off you should be nicer about it and ill only charge you $1250 I think you guys seem to forget its a job your doing that's why your paid each week (having your ass kissed isnt part of the deal ) if you feel that need maybe change jobs cheers trev

sorry to hear mate im 2 weeks into a six month period of telling my story walking becasue of getting a speeding ticket just befor xmas really sucks more so because I feel I was ripped off by being booked were I did and its pretty much pointless taking the matter to court from what ive been told more so in your case if you happen to get a magistrate having a bad day I think you could end up way worse off than you already are id just pay the fine and get on with your life one thing that has opened my eyes is the shocking state of public transport in sydney (well the trains anyway ) since ive been using them and all I can say is I feel so sorry for all the ppl forced to use it each day cheers trev

Blame the f&*n politicians and shout it from the roof tops demand that police can use more force to terminate dangerous pursuits . sounds good more so if theres only the driver in the car I still think just shoot the *beep* I mean how many of these idoits just give up and pull over not many I wouldnt think ? im guessing the main reason for stopping is crashing the car or running out of fuel not becasue the driver wanted too so it the cars going to crash anyway speed up the process I say and if nobodys around shoot him instead or ram the idoit off the road cheers trev

depending on the size and profile 17inch and 18inch can be nearly half the price of an 19inch as its not just a bigger tyre but a whole differant tyre design in some cases ive been told from a few ppl $440 I hope your talking about 19inch 245/35 my local tyre place had ps2 on sale a few months back in 19inch for $365 each which I thought was a bargain also these guys ship to oz Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels and have some good deals if you look around and the shipping costs arent to bad it cost me 250 bucks from memory for 4 245/35 19inch tyres ship to wollongong about a year ago im sure you could do it heaps cheaper if you shopped around or just filled a whole container cheers trev

half the people in highway patrol love a good car chase makes them feel like a big man I dont care what anybody thinks if the police didnt chase the car the 3 people in the other car would still be alive that's the truth of it and no spin doctor bull crap from the members in the force on here can change that if theirs nobody on the road and the police want to give chase go for it to any speed as far im concerned I dont see why the police arent allowed to just shoot the driver of the car taking off its a hell of a lot cheaper court wont be needed and less chance of the public being hurt its win win really im sick to death of reading about this in the paper every few weeks I mean do they try and shoot out the tyres if that's even possible road spikes what ever happened to them hell shoot the car from above from a helicopter as somebody else said I think cheers trev

growing up in the centre of australia's biggest city I can tell you most of the bad driving is done by either young ppl driving way past there skill level as I did when I was younger or my most hated driver asians young or old those *beep* cant drive they should be made to ride a push bike for a year that way only the ones with some driving skills will be on the road old ppl although useless just travel to slow and dont do any real harm in most cases besides making everbody else mad cheers trev
