I got one I can sell you for 50 bucks ????? ( jaycar model.......... does the job......... reason im selling is I have another one ) has rechargeable batteries but you will need to buy a charger ( bout 25 bucks from Coles or Woolies....this is where I bought the charger from )............ also has a incar charger if you run out of power which I doubt. I can charge it up for the cruise and bring it along if your interested.

Nab that's cool. I remember the dam cruise where we all got drenched. . . Still wasn't a bad feed lol. I have a new BBQ and this one starts up and your cooking in 5 mind but I know we need to have a good day of sunshine so as can all kick back and have a beer and a good feed. Rest assured it will be on again

Pat just doing it in stages. ive bailed out on my Rx7's and will be selling that soon. this car will just be a cruise car and dyno car with occasional drag meets preparing a new block...... C4 auto...... 4000 stall converter.......new exhaust manifold.......my 9 inch diff I have.......NOS......Turbonetics Turbo ( Y2K or my T-105 off my Rx7 ) these mods are in my next lot of upgrades...... prolly a few months away yet but very keen to finish the plans I have for the ute. cheers Phil....... yeah mate it will be interesting to say the least. I too have been follow Brian's car as that is a weapon. Chris ( Rap1d ) is another one I like and so is Pat's ( Senna ) car. ive been on a couple cruises with these guys and they are great blokes and good friends. I always loved my ute even in standard form but since ive played with it and got Autotech to fit the APS phase 2 kit all ive wanted is more power I will keep everyone posted for sure ! Icy, well id like to still keep it a street Ute as I don't drive it very much now as I'm on the road 6 days a week with my transport business. it will be a dyno car and also go to the drags every no and then but predominately it will still be a dyno/street/show Ute. my Rx7 is a half chassis with a 1300hp methanol motor and that is my full on drag car and takes up a fair bit of my time on Sunday's but id like to explore the barra motor and see what is possible. the wheels will be nice on the ute......... im putting weld alumastars 15 x 10's on the rear and weld alumastars 2.0 15 x 4's front runners on the front.......... they arrived today and look a million bucks. turbo im going to use is a Turbonetics Thumper T-91 from my spare stocks. ill going to leave it there but there are some outrageous items going on it :banghead: Ern

cheers for the replies everyone......... ive spoken to my chassis builder and yeah its a piece of piss so to say. as Pat said it will be interesting to say the least and if everything goes to plan which in this case can be a gamble. I will let you know this much........ im chasing 750+rwkw hence why ive asked about the 9 inch. now that is confirmed I feel happier now Ern

I agree here too. a smaller 1.00 or .96 housing will spool it faster then a 1.15. the bigger the rear housing the bigger the lag wil be. if it has the 74.5 mm front wheel the it has a hp rating of 800hp and more than likely its a GT42R. the GT42RS has a 94 mm front wheel and is rated at 1000 hp. the 102mm outer cover is the exducer and will be on both turbos....... this channels air into the turbo. they both will have a 82mm rear turbine wheel from memory. if anything get the 5 1/4 inch rear flange cut off and modified to suit a 4 inch v-band flange....... it will make life so much easier to get exhausts made. it will be a good turbo for the BA motor and will be driveable but you will have to give it some boost to make it work below is a GT42RS/45 modified with a GT45 cropped rear 88mm exhaust wheel and modified 4 inch v-band........flowed to 1400hp Ernie

it comes on a bit later then that Pat. it will start making boost at 3500 but only about 6 to 8 psi and not much power. these are better at 25 + psi boost to make any type of good HP ive used these turbos many times but on different applications and at 30 psi boost its not even whistling hard. my 9.9 @ 139 mph 1.41 60' run in my racecar was only with 20 psi boost and lazy as.Ive max out an eboost gen 1 at 40.7 psi boost and the turbo still wanted to go more. the most ive taken a GT42R to is 45 psi............. GT42RS ( 1000 hp version ) we have gone 51.7 psi boost. Ern

why would you put 2 x 44mm Tial gates on when you can put 1 x 60mm Tial gate and have the same if not better result ???? just a thought Ern

guys, to be honest I don't know. I bought the flash box brand new with my APS phase 2 Kit from Autotech. this is the first time Ive really flashed the car to standard. I think that my custom tune is P2. P3 I'm not sure about but it does go well and F is exactly that......... factory. looks like it never had a tune in P1........ no worries there just curious. thanks guys......... appreciate the advice Ernie

hey all........... small problem.......... well not really but could be. during the double demerits I flashed my ute to the factory setting to avoid an embarrassing situation with the boys in blue and noticed that the P1 cant be selected at all ???????? F, P2 and P3 can be selected but P1 is a no go. now I know the light works as when I flash the CPU the light in P1 flashes. no could this be my custom tune from Autotech ???????? P2 and P3 feels about the same as it was before and F is just that............. factory with no boost what so ever or very minimal. just wondering if this is normal or has someone experienced this at all. cheers Ern

you know ive never noticed that. I usually look for the 95 or 98 sticker on the bowser. I must pay more attention from now on but its a rort sometimes. Ern

if I can add a small complaint here........... what pees me off is when you drive into a caltex and it says vortex you would assume its 98 octane right ?????????? wrong........ some servos sell 95 octane with the vortex label. I thought they had to be labelled 95 or 98 octane........and also the 95 octane is the same price as the 98........ this surely cant be right ?????????? ive deflashed my ute now to a safe tune as I found out ive been running 95 instead of 98......... bit of a bummer but I thought id share this. small gripe but life goes on Ern

like I dont know what im on about ?????????? my 2 businesses have been trading for 5 years without any problems exept for a couple glitches when I first started. if you want to run a business and get cheques made out to personal name then good for you....... but be prepared to get audited. it wont happen staright away but it will happen I dont like dishonesty at the best of times and run by the rules of business.............. if the business does the work then the cheque is made out to the business. and yes I do declare all cash payments as well ! enough said on my behalf.................... make of it what you will Ern p.s this is the funniest thing I have read in quite a while

when you register your business name of coarse its protected............. nobody else can get it again only. you can get variations but are very remote. I had dramas with my name ( EZI Racing ) as "Racing" refers to racing like horse racing or TAB racing.......... go figure that one out. the 2nd and 3rd choices dont exist anymore...... its like applying for a number plate....... all online. there are so many ways you can have your name its not funny. I wouldn suggest you do this as the taxation office think this is strange............ its like me righting out a cheque to Pat and have him endorse it and put it in his wifes name........ the taxation dept think this is dodge and will audit you....... you certainly don't want this as then you are blacklisted for constant audits. the taxation dept are fair and will allow mistakes and errors but blatant fraud will only be costly and a reaming will occur. let me just say when I was doing it on my own without an accountant I was having problems all over the place with BAS lodgment's to claiming and sending in GST payments.......... now I have a great accountant he has saved me so many headaches. research is you best friend Pat............ trust me !
