I know this is a old thread but.... I'm heading out to Willowbank tonight (wed) so if anyone heads out, come say hello. I'm in a BF ego ute, plates XRJ37. Two mates are taking their bikes out, so I thought I would tag along and get some stock strip times while the weather is still good. Not sure what times to expect, ZF auto, stock dunlops, and its my first time down the strip. Felix.

Hmm, anyone know where I can get some cheap perspex? I want to make a clear box to stick my camera in so I can mount it somewhere outside the car to capture these twisty bits on tape. Its either that or I was just going to mount it on the passenger head rest. Has anyone seen any other setups? Anything has to be better then trying to hold and drive Felix

Every XR6 I see I chase down and I still havent seen anyone from here The one modded T in my area, I always see heading in the opposite direction so I never get a chance to chase it down and tell them to come here. He loves boosting past my house, sounds great! Pretty much the only benefit of living on a intersection. Felix

Do you need a reason? Whats the point of having a APC unless you use it to run sh!t over?!?! Where I used to live in England, on the little lane next to my house lived this gay couple who used to own a WW2 APC this thing was MASSIVE and they used to just drive it up and down the lane and through the fields, down town to do the shopping. It couldnt of got much worse fuel figures then a Lancruiser?!? Felix

Guess this is the place to ask. I want to make an animated gif for a avatar from a avi file. What programs do I need, one I assume to split the avi into frames, then I guess pick out the frames I want and then compile them in a gif animator prog?? I'm fine with computers, just dont do anything with media on them. Thanks Felix

Saw this on Ann street in Brisbane City today, just pulled in front of it and parked, there was only a tiny amount of smoke when I saw it. About the same from a a bad exhaust, then this.... dodgy phone cam, but you get the idea. ZQcYKQbdyQo Not so 'Clean Air' environmentally friendly after all! Took them 5 mins to stop it smoking. Not sure if it is right, but I heard, that even the smallest mistake on a ticket means you have a chance of getting out of it?!? A 'friend of a friend' got pulled over for speeding and the cop wrote a ticket and filled out his license details wrong and spelled his name wrong... he got out of it. Properly BS but hey, worth a shot. Felix

Hey, just responding to the first, post. Sorry I didnt do an background check on how mature he was first. Next time I'll read all 106 posts of someone before answering their question. As for it being on "public roads", I'm not a mind reader, and didnt know he was even planning to do it on public roads. Drifting is becoming a popular "sport" there are even schools opening up. For all we know he could be the next Tsuchiya, or he could wrap himself around a pole and kill 4 of his mates the first day he has his p's. Felix

Meh japs have been drifting 86's for ages, its all about power to weight and skill. No need for massive power what so ever. Unless you want massive smoke. I'm rubbish at drifting but my first drive in a 86 had me sideways after about 20mins. Go watch some Keiichi Tsuchiya videos to see what you can do in a 900kg car. Here some aussie stuff, bit messy but not bad. Rubber is going to be the most dollars, and a good suspension set up. Then its all about learning the dozen different techniques to drift, not just throwing it into a corner and putting your foot down and letting your engine do all the work... Felix

Ahh I see... Stupid question, its the belt that makes the noise right? Also the only supercharged car I've driven was a calais... that thing sucked. Does the thrust come on smoother and right from the word go with the super charged v8? Felix

Can you explain the 'no noise, no fuss' bit... havent really seen many supercharged 8's in the flesh, and only got to follow it for 5mins on the last cruise, so I dont know how quick he is Felix
