canary yellow - that would look exceptional. I can't recall ever seeing a yellow falcon, other than that really bad pastel yellow on the EA. canary yellow, which you may remember from such commodores as the GTSR and the Monaro looks a treat, methinks.
  3. that's all we need, kiwi's with cars they can drive over water. nothing will stop the migration now  unless of course they get classed as boat people!
  4. balck and manual! Forget about the next owner, think instead about the fun you'll have with all that go and the extra control a manual affords. I've never seen a black XR8 - would be serious rubber neck material..............
  5. there aren't many of the real tough guy actors of old left, which is a shame as they are responsible for some of the classics. RIP.
  6. Mr T there is a pic of mine on page 2 of the Warragamba cruise The only real negative I got on the colour was from my ma and she don't count hehe most of the people who comment like it-Good Luck excellent, found them. That car looks absolutely fantastic ducatijb Trust you wont mind if I put a pic from the cruise in?
  7. You won't go wrong. indeed, and according to a few locals, "real men drive manuals" :o (not that I agree with that) they just seem more fun (and cheaper) Plan A was for an XR8, but after test driving one yesterday I prefer the T.
  8. no mistake, I ordered mine before the citric acid and blood orange came out. There's no cost involved as it is a fleet car, as long as someone else wants it (no problem) I just had them the keys, sign some paperwork and it's done. I then just order a new one. The only thing making me think twice is going through the wait again......... Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with the white, just that I....... 1. like the citric acid better (& the 18 inch wheels) 2. (IMHO) find the sunroof a waste of money 3. am also thinking of getting a manual 4. would probably end up with a series 2 (anyone know when it is due?)
  9. kidding of course (just to clarify), truck driving is part of the family business so I reguarly hear stories of motorists making life difficult for truckies. As members of a society we should all be doing what we can to be more considerate of each other, not deliberately doing things that annoy people. I for one will be turning my foglights off from now on. :yellowangel:
  10. ta, found it - looks a treat & the satnav looks good too, is a ute thou - does anyone ahve one of a sedan?

that's some birthday - new XR6T! Great stuff & love the colour
  12. - m u s t r e s I s t u r g e t o s t a r t o n t ru c k d ri v e r s........ n o t e a s y................. can't all us fellow road users just get along?
  13. seriously considering moving on the winter white T with sunroof, premium sound and leather to get myself a citric acid T with 18 inch wheels, premium sound and leather - I just love that colour! Has anyone got some pics of a citric with 18's they can post? And from any owners, what comments do you get from people? gratsi.

that's the last straw, im trading in for a citric acid T...... if I get one more taxi comment, lookout! and no, I don't have the premium brakes - would definately be a good investment for anyone who drives that fast all the time (and lives in the NT of course). everyones a comedian round here..........

have reached 233 with no sign of the limiter. takes forever to get from about 190 - 230 and the stopping "power" is disturbingly lacking.

looks like the EL GT rear wing.....
  17. they have plenty of fords, all the paddy wagons are falcon utes, and they have some unmarked xr's - well at least one (AU). as to why they don't use SS's and XR's more as the norm, similar to other states, that's anyones guess. Maybe Barry Mathews (commissioner) knows something every other commisioner doesn't. Also WA police seldom get involved in chases, policy is to abort once speeds get "excessive", which is obviously more often than not. but then again wa has the worst crime rate in australia...... go figure give it a few years, they'll catch up :D

I'd be shocked to see any in WA, they prefer stock standard 6cyl family sedans with lights on the roof for Police cars - makes perfect sence that's kiwi logic for you!

I was in Sydney for 3 hours yesterday (inbetween flights) and saw CJF077 on the freeway - can say it was disturbingly clean!
  20. just had a look at the picture of the GT's posted by bdennis, the white with blue looks absolutely fantastic! unfortunately for me, fleet have laid a wet blanket over my idea - not allowed to change the appearance of the car in any way.
  21. apparently quite few large companies have discount partnerships with ford. Telstra recently announced all staff can get fleet pricing on private purchases - $39 841 for a basic T ($5 604 off RRP), $43 940 ($6 190 off RRP) for XR8. Not bad. They have a website for it, but you need your company code. Ford Partner
  22. couldn't agree more, I think it is a bit dissapointing that Ford has elected to not make the T any different from the n/a's. There should be a small intake or vent on the bonnett (wrx or EB GT style) and more badging - that you don't need binoculars to see. Perhaps it was an issue of production costs and keeping them down by reducing variations amongst the range.
  23. hmmm, thinking of ways to make the T a little more visually distintive, love those stripes on the GT......... I know the topic of the XR8 bonnet on the 6 has been done, but would be interested to hear what peoples thoughts are on putting the GT stripes on the 6? At $470 plus install, I'll be doing some furhter consideration first.
  24. The standard sunroof is fine, albeit a bit noisy when travelling at speed. No issues with the lining, and I am very picky.
