"Captain Retard" Member 1,417 Member For: 9y 11m 24d Gender: Male Location: Shellharbour NSW Posted 12/02/15 03:21 AM Share Posted 12/02/15 03:21 AM A few weeks ago my wife rang me at work saying the surround sound system wasn't working.I said its probably sh!t itself as it's about 14 years old.It's a Sony system and has served us well, the CD player stopped working about 5 years ago.Anyway I checked it out the next day and yes it was completely dead.So with permission and a budget from the wife I started shopping around for a new one.I found an ONKYO system that included the big speakers and a powered subwoofer that was heavily reduced to $500.Got it home and hooked it up, well it sounded a lot better than the old Sony, cheering So I started removing the old Sony system and that's when I found it........ It being the plug that was no longer plugged in I looked around at the millions of bits of packing from the new system and thought fug it, I'm keeping it.Now Wifey wants to know why I'm keeping the old system I said the speakers are still good and I'll put them in the pool room.Wifey said "but why are you keeping the head unit for?"Hmmm I said ,because I might have a go at fixing it, it could be something simple Sooooo that's my confession, there's no way I could tell the missus and I'm farked if I know how the plug was unplugged!I'll leave the old system sit for a while and pretend I'm having a look at it, and then I might get a bit of Kudos for "fixing " it 4 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
