Hi all

ive just purchased a gen2 supercore for my FG whats the best way to go about the rear housing

do I just use the original with the flapper mod

 

should I external gate it and mount it to the original manifold 

 

or do I put it on a 6 boost 

 

also what size housing works best with these, want to do it once properly

depends on your boost level and power goals, realistically... that being said; the stock housing with a decent port and flapper mod will do the job for most applications

Factory 1.06 rear housing is the right size but your port job needs to be bang on perfect otherwise you’ll be up high in the boost range even with a tune. 
Actuator preload is critical to get right too 

 

if in doubt get the tune shop to fit it and port & flapper it
