Haha this isn't roadkill!

I think I'll look into mounting both on either side of the trans tunnel, if there's room.

Slightly off topic, but, engine oil cooler running off an oil filter adapter and an inline thermostat - any recommendations? Or will an eBay one be ok?

My tuna put in a setrab one but it’s too small and doesn’t have a fan. I’m a fan of derale coolers, I have a 25 row hypercooler in for the transmission with a pretty thick core and it’s awesome, I also have a pwr heat exchanger in line (did this years ago to avoid the milkshake) and I live in Canberra so want it getting up to temp https://derale.com/products/fluid-coolers/universal/remote-mount2013-10-28-09-53-271073910258/13-row-plate-fin-engine-oil-cooler-kit-with-spin-on-adapter-detail.

They now have a racing line and it’s even thicker, it’ll be a tight squeeze but I’ll be upgrading to this soon with a thermostatic fluid control to only let it go through the cooler once it’s up to temp and fan also thermostatically controlled. https://derale.com/product-footer/fluid-coolers/engine/remote-mount/65860-detail

Hi Aaron,

In the process of deciding on and ordering the cooler.

Thinking of this style adapter:

https://derale.com/product-footer/filtration/engine2013-10-28-09-53-27459934969/sandwich-adapters/standard-engine-spin-on-adapter-with-1-2-npt-ports-22x1-5mm-filter-thread-detail

I like it as it has a built in thermostat to allow faster heating up of the oil and better temp control when it's at lower temps?

And for the cooler I'm looking at this one. Seems to be much of the same same:

Should do the job?

Same same.   Sandwich plate I posted has thermostat.

The fan and cooler  you posted is larger.   I would stick with B&M.  Quality will be superior

I think you are confused.

The bypass is in the sandwich plate  both items posted  have the bypass at  82C (180F). The coolers have a built in electrical thermostat (bi-metal switch) that can switch the fan on at 80c.

Both setups you posted and I posted are nearly identical. Your cooler and fan are bigger..

Dont forget to rubber mount it...
