then their website says they only do the manifold-to-turbocharger ones, not the ones for the manifold-to-head, that I could find on their site. They have stud kits for the main "head studs". They might do them on special request or something...

I've thought about this a lot over the last year or so.

 

I want to convert my TT to RWD to save weight and get better fuel economy, but I want to keep the ZF and big TT 340mm front brakes.

So, all SX/SY RWD Terris are BTR 4 speed, SZ have 6 speed available in RWD which I believe is the 6HP21 rather than the 6HP26. My theory is that you could use the SZ 6 speed RWD trans mount and tail shaft assuming the mount and center bearing bolts in using the same holes then you just need a ZF output flange to bolt up the tailshaft after removing the transfer case, hopefully the SZ RWD tailshaft is similarly beefy to the TT shaft.

 

The part I'm less sure about is the brakes, can you switch to RWD style knuckles/hubs and still keep the big brakes?

 

My Territory is never in a position where AWD is an advantage and I believe with the tyre size of TT's AWD doesn't offer a traction advantage either, maybe if you go to the snow fields or want to drive on the beach but I don't, it spends most of its time as a daily driver around town and carting kids around.

You’d be better off selling your TT than converting it to RWD. I guess you could do it, convert it to RWD.

I’m looking at stripping my SY TS with it’s FG turbo setup and transferring the engine to a 2013-2014 SZ TS or Titanium Petrol. The SZ1 ran the 6HP26, the SZ2 ran the 6HP21 (Petrol model).
