3) Peter dont change the subject here and make it APS versus private individual Martin Donnon. The offer was for an unbiased event where you could pit the skills of APS against Nizpro. It seems that both sides have some nerves when it comes to the real thing at the track. Bench racing on the forum though is easy aint it!

So who belongs to the ute you've been tuning Martin? Is it you? Is it Zoom Magazine? Someone else?

The more the merrier I reckon! Get RDP Dynosteve to front up and you guys can compete against each other.

Do you have a (tuning/workshop) business Martin or do you do it privately using other people's facilities? Not knocking or doubting your abilities just curious that's all.

The ute is now long gone to a new home.....and it was mine.

Im also wearing red underwear today, Im a scorpio, and my dogs name is Hunter. Anything else you want to know?

Good suggestion re the other XR6 though, I will give Steve from RDP a call this afternoon and invite him....but there are some limits to all this....

While its a case of 'the more the merrier' Im not going to beg these guys to come along. If they want to come, they are welcome, but they can fill out an application form and pay the same as everyone else (even applies to me and Im one of the guys running the show)

I thought it would be a good idea to get both cars together and actually race to clear up some of the keyboard crap that goes on here, but now, the silence is deafening aint it?

One at a time here.....

Pete you forgot to tell everyone how the LS1 had an LS1Edit program in the computer to remove the torque management etc. etc. and actually make the car quick.

1) As for the racing? Ok then Pete, heres the deal....I will bet you $5K that the APS Stage IV Ute gets hosed by an LS1 at the LS1 Drag Nationals. Deal?

2) Greg, surely you guys can build a car in two months.....

3) Peter dont change the subject here and make it APS versus private individual Martin Donnon. The offer was for an unbiased event where you could pit the skills of APS against Nizpro. Martin the Cand V trans does not have any LSI edit mods. The trans is modded mechanically not electronically and the engine is tuned using the Unichip computer. It is currently the quickest LSI powered Late model camira in Australia.

As for the 5 k bet, well if we are to get hosed by a Expensive Daewoo its likely to be by our own APS agent who has run a 10.70 pass. As for your comments that a 8 second Late model camira will debut, it well might and it might also drop its guts all over the track.

As for your continual put down of the xr6t falcon with any luck we will put many LSIs to shame (admittedly easier said than done) so lets wait and see.

So if you would like to have a wager, how about your LSI Expensive Daewoo one tonner against the APS xr6t PHASE IV ute? Lets make it interesting and up the anti to 10K. Maybe you can get doughboy to bank roll you for this challenge?!! Now Martin if you accept this offer you will get plenty of xr6t supporters to the LSI drag nationals.

Lots of big challenges for me there Pete. Dont take your eye of the real ball though, as while you are playing with me Nizpro might just walk on past you! They are keen and primed according to cuspub, with a definite and fixed goal.

Think about your post regarding C&V as well. Im no expert here, but how do you modify software issues mechanically? Isnt that what all the XR turbo modifiers have been trying unsuccessfully to stop the T auto spreading its guts everywhere? Good sales pitch though fella, and that's really what its all about.

Asked Dough Boy about the bet for you though mate. He looked at me, laughed, and said "Make a bet with a guy that's too scared to drive his own car on the track? wa*ker." Whatever that means....

When the flag drops, the bullsh*t stops. You might not want to come to the drag nationals then! Youll have nothing more to talk about....

Make a bet with a man that's too scared to drive his own car on the track.

Sounds to me like a man that is too scared to make a bet with a man he thinks has a faster car.

If the LS1 nationals were about which individual was quicker, then you could all leave your cars at home and just have running races down the 1\4 mile.

If the LS1 nationals is about who has the fastest machine over the 1\4 mile then who is driving the machine is irrelevant. Tell Dough Boy that no body said he had to drive his own car, and I didn't see that as a condition of entry to the event.

Come on Martin all a bit of fun, though you have been pushing the LSI as the be all end all I thought you would enjoy hosing off the phase IV with your holden.

I suspect that the guys from the Ford camps are attempting to sort out the AUTO trans issues which apply at very high torque levels, if time and our worK load permits we will be at heathcote as I want to see the expression on your face as the xr6t destroys plenty of LSI times over the quater. :finger:

Martin maybe I missed something on the auto trans Mod issue,an auto is still mainly a mechanical device and internal mechanical upgrades is the most common and practical method to improve torque transmittal as of now.

Tell Dough boy that I thought he would enjoy the opportunity to match his Expensive Daewoo powered LSI against the APS xr6t :banghead: , come on its only a Ford you guys should be able to hose us with ease given the 5 years your've had to develop the LSI powered holden. :finger:

Very mature post buddy we really need you to post personal attacks on individuals, just what we need to get the thread closed, does it make any diffrence who drives the cars? I couldnt care if schui drove the LS1, at the end of the day it wont make much difference and the best car will win be it the T or the LS1.

Pete, you guys seem to have all the time in the world to go to Expensive Daewoo and Ford shows where the cars sit static all weekend save for the odd dyno run. Im sure then you could find the time to drive three hours up the road on a Saturday morning to put on a graphic display of your products capabilities against your main marketing and engineering rivals. After all, that's really what the consumer wants to see - a shootout - not *beep* footing around the difficult questions....like 'what times will she run?'

I think you will find it hard to resist that challenge.

No doubt that true, and we will make every effort to be at heathcote to run the xr6t ute, its just that I would have liked to hose every Expensive Daewoo at the event with a baby 4 litre engine Ford engine, a little more development time would have been helpful......whats the prize money for the out right win. :ta::ta::pinch:
