Hey everyone I will be getting my car tuned this week.. the previous owner installed injectors and I dont know what they are. I would like to find out it they will be compatible with the new tune before I go there.

From searching around it seams to be made by bosch but any charts or list dont contain that specific part number.

0280158383 is that correct?

0280156383 is stock FG XR6T injector, without reading the numbers they look like stock injectors

Ive had another look and they are 0280156383.. I wonder why I was told the injectors had been done when I brought the car.. thanks..

Maybe they meant "replaced". Can you bore them out anymore? Maybe that's what the meant! Or maybe he was a tossa pulling your leg mate!

Seller could have also been sold an injector "upgrade" and not known any better themselves.

some people still do drilled injectors, but like an injector change, a tune is required

Either way peps, you might need new injectors to make tune worthwhile.

I was planning on 1000cc anyway. I was just seeing if I could save some money for now and upgrade something else..

I have the exact same injectors (as above), which are Bosch and standard for the FG Mk2 turbo. The loud ticking/clicking is incredibly annoying.

 

Can anyone suggest a replacement injector that is quieter?

 

Are Siemens (or any other brand) any quieter?

im not sure what injectors that are 1000cc and ''quiet''. I have used both ID 1000cc & bosch they were loud but not excessive, to me any way. my new set of 1050s are not to bad.
