Ok, took a couple of pics in the dark, hope it helps a little.

This is taken from the rhs looking at the silicone joiner coming down off the turbo, joining onto the 90 alloy bend and going forward over the crossmember ( not under! )

This next pic is taken looking down from above and shows the next silicone 90 degree joiner that links the black alloy pipe in the last shot to the silver alloy 180 degree bend which goes out towards the rhs , around the radiator and comes back to meet the intercooler.

It's a b series and that's not where that pipe should go

I see your other thread Re exhaust

Sounds like the car has already been tuned with all of the hardware that's been fitted .... Unless it's hitting boost cut about 4000rpm ?

Regarding hitting boost cut with the 4" dump fitted, shouldn't the actuator still open the wastegate at the same pressure as before? I wouldn't have thought there would be an issue.

On an old school turbo car yeh

Not on a falcon as the boost is referanced against load and factory is set to 5psi and allows boost spikes only for a short time before the ecu will close the throttle

A higher flowing exhaust will cause greater boost pressure and needs to be tuned to suit

This is a dyno graph of a BF xr6 T with a 3.5 inch exhaust and 4inch dump fitted but a stock tune

Check the boost

Double the boost and we didn't even let this cut as we knew what we were expecting so we pulled the run, this was coming in for a tune to be rectified for this issue only

Thanks for the explanation, I haven't had a turbo since a Silvia about 7 years ago, I guess things have changed a bit since then! Better get it tuned asap.

Where are u located and we can point u in the direction of a reputable workshop to tune your car

I'm on the Gold Coast, so Brisbane would also be ok.

Thanks, the first one told me I would need to do the waste gate flapper upgrade, but at bare minimum you would need to replace the injectors and purchase a SCT4 Flash

box.
The second just said I can get the SCT4 flasher and do the tune.
I'm guessing the SCT4 is a definite requirement and the x3 wouldn't do? Also, is there different versions, or they're all the same. If so I guess I could get one from the US on ebay? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261827668894
