just lend my atomic valve tool to a guy ,but he accidently dropped a collet into the sump . it must be still on top of the oil tray . what would his best option be ?

think it would be no good to do this as it would be stuck in the oil splash tray .but that is exactly what I said to him . have send him photos of my disassembled engine to show him what the inside looks like . the sump may have to be taken off .

Buy a new collet from ford to replace it

Buy a magnetic sump plug to suit

Run engine as normal for a day

Drop oil, collect collets attached to magnetic plug

It works and does no damage to engine

Cheers
