masda74 To Loud Gold Donating Members 4,112 Member For: 13y 6m 17d Gender: Male Location: WA, Perth Posted 07/04/15 01:22 AM Author Share Posted 07/04/15 01:22 AM Masda, I thought you where going Project Mu pads notultimates?I decided at the last minute to get the ultimates installed instead of the Project MU pads.I thought to myself that if I liked the Project MU pads, that I would most probably never put the Ultimates in.At the same time, If the rotors were not skimmed right and there was still a bit of crap on there, the Ultimates would clean the up.I was expecting more BITE from the ultimates to be honest. They do bite, but not as hard as the focus OEM brake pads.I also have to press the brake pedal less for the car to stop now. I am sure that the Ultimates will be used up by the 100000km mark and hen the project MOOOOOOO go in. The slots on the face cut onto the pad which in my opinion helps contribute to the shuddering. That's why I think the ultimates work well with the T3s. They are just as aggressive towards the rotor as the rotor is towards them.And also what pads you have been using that has caused your t3's to warp? I don't have warped discs, I have resin deposits. Bremtec Endures I have been using. From my research, and I've done a lot, you can't use ceramic/low dust pads on the slotted rotors. I just don't know how to explain it.The car just stops with less effort?? It has been a while and I forgot about it. I found it in my searches for posts I may have started. So It is 2017 and I still have the Bendix ultimates and the dba 4000...... The shudder has not shown itself since. The car still stops in an orderly fashion from higher speeds. These pads are however driving me bonkers with the amount of dust I get on my rims. At one stage, I had someone ask me why I had the luxury 19" rims at the rears and the XR50 dark grey rims at the front. That was an embarrassing and awkward moment for me.
