is there anyway I can do live loging of boost, temps, ect with the xcal. didn't get a instruction manual or is it just for tuning.

#2

U need to download live link and set up the pid selection then workout what it all means ;)

#3

I tried the gauges, whilst I got a few things to work, I couldn't get a boost reading.

#4

Boost works but it is not in the usual form that people expect to see

#5

Can't remember exactly now,

There was a few boost options like 'desired boost' etc.

I went off 'manifold absolute pressure' and subtracted the atmospheric pressure.

This correct for boost Mick? Would be nice to see a straight up boost reading in PSI though.

#6

That's pretty much it, the ford ecu does not have an absolute psi reading to give out

#7

Is that similar to how torque calculates boost?

#8

torque? are you talking the torque app?

#9

Yeah mick that's the one.

If it runs the same does that mean that the boost reading would be incorrect

#10

If its reading a generic OBD2 pid, the number maybe correct if it's reading MAP, but the reading may be slow compared to what is actually happening at the time
