I found an FG XR6T that I am heaps interested in as I sold my ba F6. Only problem is that it is an ex cop car. Are there any downsides or upsides to the ex cop cars. Should I steer clear or is there little difference between the ex cop cars and normal daily commuters. Cheers guys.

But they may have put the switch in the off position when they sold it?

Yeh brembos and the fpv 18" wheels. Just wondering if anyone here has had an ex-cop fg xr6. Was always under the impression that they are thrashed etc

yeah the cops probably thrashed it, but I do the same. If fussy then buy a normal xr6t from carsales and hope the owner hasn't ' thrashed it ' otherwise ponny up and buy a brand new one

Happy with my ex cop car , it's now making 477rwkw, bought it with 100,000km on the clock and it has now done around 127,000km

Nice, sct. Yeh that's why I'm here, just wanted to see if there was any common problems or things to look out for especially with ex coppers. I had someone telling me that the seats are always worn due to their holsters rubbing on them etc.

I personally bought an 09 FG series one ex cop

Car about 5 months ago, never had any dramas with it at all besides a bit of dodgey workshop jobs from the yard I got it from, car had 70000 on the clock when I got it, drives and handles like a dream still and pulls like a freight train.

Onviously do a good and thorough check on it if buying privately or from a backyard dealership, the topic of wear and tear in the seats from holsters is debatable as mine never had any damage at all.

Somebody told me that the routine everyday boys in blue dont run turbo's, only a few of the older enforcement gents who arent always in the field

Also mine never had brembos or fpv rims on it.
