Love it.

I'll tell you what really impresses me about the tornado's, they by rights shouldn't have been built. Who ever thought putting those engines in these utes is certified, and I love them for it. It was a small moment in time when Ford said "f*ck it, we can do something really cool" and it's probably something that won't ever happen again.

This said that new GTS Maloo is an impressive bit of kit. Looks horn too. Can't wait to see how many killawasps it doesn't have

As you see most of the issues are cosmetic, besides the power steering hose which needs replacing.

Not in the photos is a small patch of surface rust under the brake booster.

I'm a big believer in the zf. Not much of a manual guy, but each to their own. I'm so lucky to have found mine. Fully optioned, most of the history with it. Reasonable condition but f*ck me the auto needed a good service

Had a run with a new Maloo . Other than exhaust can't be sure what mods it had

but it went like stink. Pushed my 350 rwkw to the limit and it was still keeping up.

I daresay it may have chased me down

Nice to see someone that wants to spend the time restoring something that will one day, I reckon, become one of those 'sort after' cars..........onya

Drop by the SA Thread at some stage to say Hi

Well it wont be much of a restoration. I will bring it back up to scratch and do some mods. The mods as I mentioned are more about squeezing some better performance out of it, whilst also maintaining the life of the car and enjoying it. I hope to get about 350rwkw without going overboard with mods. I want to keep it stock looking minus wheels and ride height. My goal is to lift the engine bay and barely be able to tell it has been modded. As I also said ill be keeping the stock parts so reverting back to stick will A) wont be too hard cause I wont be cutting/welding only bolt on mods B) the stock parts will have under 70000kms too.

See how it all unfolds. I look forward to some spirited scenic driving along the south coast and a some amateur fun up the drag strip.
