  1. Happy Birthday raised by monkeys!

  2. My understanding is that less piping would reduce lag and increase a slight efficient power increase?
  3. Has anyone got any photos of custom work they have done; so not using the NIZPRO, Plazmaman or process west kits? Talking with my mechanic the other the and got us thinking about improving efficiency with low cost. My mechanic has a full workshop and experienced fab/machinist. My idea was to buy a 2nd hand manifold, to attempt to cut the casting around the TB inside the bolts (which hold the upper/lower sections together) and effectively flipping the TB around. This would then reduce the piping from TB to the stock FPV intercooler in my Tornado. Obviously this would only work with a cold air and battery relocation also. Any suggestions or ideas? This is to get around spending 1k or so on an FG manifold.A question I have though is 'how close does the TB need to be to the manifold?' The TB relocation kits from process west have a bend out of the manifold inlet, then the TB followed by piping. The reason I ask is, if we successfully flip the TB, a bend straight out of the TB may foul on the ECU, so thinking about the Process west relocation kit, to resolve this may have a bend straight out of the manifold inlet and the TB further down (like the process west kit but the TB flipped around - theoretically speaking). Pics for reference. image image trying to work around doing this with the TB to cooler piping image
  4. I assumed it had something to do with the feel of the surface of the paint. I hate clay bar-ing. When I got my new ute I had 2 different panel shops (for reasons not worth explaining) to buff the paint, then I waxed it. Mind you, I dont think they did a great job in the buffing, cause even after it was waxed it didn't have the smoothest finish. This weekend going to wax again, about 1 1/2 - 2 months since the last time it was waxed (sorry for the thread hijack).
  5. minus 1. What's this?
  6. take my hate off to you sir
  7. Definitely something satisfying claening up grime ha. Theres a couple of things though that unfortunately didnt survive though. Like the drivers door card, on the black vinyl is cracked due to not being cleaned or protected, and having a sweaty maori leg-arm resting on it daily. The plastic trim around the seat base has a crack in it also. Shouldve seen the filthy bath water coming off the head rest when I shampood the seats lol
  8. Total cost? If you mean what it owes me, inc. the car, transport, maintenance and mods ive got about 22k in it I reckon.
  9. Pulled the seats out. Scrubbed the interior. Previous owner was a grot, lots of grubby fingerprint marks and general grime. Used a combination od eucalyptus spray, warm water and sugar soap and maguiers dash trim foam. Replaced the steering wheel and shampooed the seats. Replaced the drivers side scuff plate, and rubbed down exterior black plastics and rubbers in the dash trim foam too. Just been enjoying the car lately. Nothing mechanical to report.
  10. injectors exhaust/dump tune This seen 325rwkw in mine (after major service inc. all new fluids and new centre bearing)
  11. Process West have told me their stage 2 doesn't require cutting, but feedback from other suggest otherwise. I myself am not after a large cool, just one that will support up to 400rwkw but as a safety net. Currently at 325rwkw in the F6 and experiencing heat soak. email from nizpro Hello Shaun If you are still running the standard intake manifold and throttle position then you are after our Nizpro stage one intercooler kit along with the upgraded hot side pipe kit. The intercooler supplied and fitted is $1750 plus the large hot side pipe at $354.00. This intercooler will comfortably do 400 rwkws and can be upgraded to our forward intake manifold if needed latter on. Regards Simon email from PW correct ....stage 2 core is zero cutting Hi mate, Thanks for that. It is tuned at 325rw and I am just applying supporting mods for what is already done. Nothing over the top. I am currently noticing changes in the warmer weather. So for stage 2 instalment no cutting is required? cheers Shaun HiShaun My stage 2 intercooler core is plenty for 400rwkw You would need to mate is with my Race Air box for 400kw though. Regards, Kev
  12. I was quoted $695 for Adelaide. Same cost of lowered king spring leafs
