How many import guys do you know that are willing to swap in fuel tanks from later models? (I'm not knocking this as a solution, just for most this may seem a tad more drastic than adding a bolt on external surge)

I know your not having a go, but in my situation, not only is it a better setup (IMO) but it's cheaper

Intank

Kpm Fuel module alone $1430 (inc postage)

Fuel tank $150

Already have adjustable fuel reg and required wiring

Total $1580

Surge setup

Tank and twin dw300 $1280

Fitting kit $380

Wiring kit $225

Total $1885

I can't say much more until it's complete

Don't forget labour to drop the rear cradle to remove the and refit the tank if you require the later tank.

Again not knocking the solution, but there are valid reasons why an external surge has been the preferred option for quite some time.

I see where your coming from and they are all valid points..

That's the beauty of doing everything yourself, labour is free, plus a good learning experience, and get to change the diff bush in the process

I see a fuel system lasting 500 hrs OR LESS on E85 an expensive way to a bad situation as it can be very COMMON for one pump to fail and u wont know it.

Where as something as simple as a plaz undercar surge that's is tried and tested for a decade now is for one cheaper ( brand new delivered to your door $1000 ) 2/ u can hear the proven 044 humming away nicely ( bare min a bit of audible reassurance its working )

Again what results hrs wise would u expect if u use e85 sometimes ........makes u wonder

I was curious about that.. I didn't really want to post my comment..

What does the 500hr mean? Because that's talking about buying something for your car that potentially won't last 20000kms..

Sure if it's a tiny piece of hose that's fine replace it when you service the beasty.. but if it's a whole fuel pump.. Wow..

From first hand experience the pump royally poohs its self and your left wondering why its super lean up top when it matters
