Its to raise or lower the brake pedal position. No sarcasm on this forum.

Sooooo I figured out what the switch is for today. I was wondering why my reverse sensors weren't working, went through the manual and the icc to try to figure it out, but couldn't find anything. Thought it was worth a go to flick the switch and what do ya know the reverse sensors are back on. I'm assuming they are aftermarket sensors as the switch turns them on and off. That switch was driving me mad so I'm pretty glad I finally worked out what it's for. Has anybody else ever come across this set up before?

With the OEM tow kit the wiring loom is different for a car with OEM sensors and without - switching off the sensors when the trailer is hooked up so they aren't continually beeping when reversing with a trailer.

Have you got either aftermarket sensors (that wouldn't turn off automatically) or maybe it was whoever put the tow package on the car's way of achieving the same without the OEM loom?

Yeah, it has a factory fitted tow pack so I'm assuming the sensors are aftermarket.

I had a mystery switch in an Au Xr8 Ute. Turned out is was a manual lower switch for the auto radio antenna. Previou owner must have been a auto carwash/JJJ aficionado

No utes had parking sensors Lennox, which verifies the aftermarket assumption and the need for a switch.
