Yep, don't buy it.

Needs to be connected to the car it's married to and returned to stock so it can be unmarried.

Best buying 2nd hand from known source.

I got a second hand xcal2 for my FG (manual) from RDP as I already had bought a near new one from eBay, was locked so not worth the drama !!

Know source or new.

I don't even think that's the right page on the xcal to find that out or not? When I sold an xcal 2 to somebody I plugged it into my car and showed them that it was stock.

(I think it said status: stock and for tuned it said status: aftermaket).

ended up buying one on ebay for $400, just received it and it says 'device unmarried' under device info. I went into cutom tunes menu and it has valet, 8psi and 10 psi options, is it safe to try the 10psi tune for 30min then go back to stock? my car is a 2010 stock fg xr6t

You've been on here long enough bro, you know the dangers of generic tunes.......

If you reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaly want to try the 10psi tune (and I know you will), drive it with the radio off, and keep a keen ear out. If something doesnt sound right eg ping or knock, back off immediately. Make sure you have a fresh tank of 98.

but dont say I didnt warn you lol
