This is gunna upset Jack, but Pete P ran 11.3@123 with stock Fg exhaust with hi flow cat, stock cooler, little turbo. 17 falling to 14

See I don't want to put that much boost into my car to achieve the same power/mph if I can put a dump and not worry about it. I want 14 down to 12 which I've seen has been down with a dump (no mph yet on its particular car).

And J@ feel free to rattle off fg's that you know of

I'm trying to make an informed decision so I only have to spend once and so far from the research that I've done there is a benefit to be had from a dump, but I'm open minded to other opinions (with facts to back it up) because at the end of the day if it's not really needed it will save me $$

Whats the big deal to u about boost levels ?

That will come down to your tuner, and yes hardware but remember a characteristic of the small turbo is big psi in the mid ( hence nizpros famous 23 in the mid on steves car ) then taper off as efficiancy runs out

All engines are different urs may have to have 15-17 psi to make 330 so leave that up to the tuner and understand 17psi on a small turbo is nothing like 17psi on the bigger brother

But isn't running 14psi without an upgraded actuator bad enough let alone 17?

From what I understand more boost means turbo's working harder which means more stress on the bearings etc and can result in premature wear?

There's double that force in your tyres. I think the turbo will be fine.

Change the dump if you want to replace the cat without hacking up your standard exhaust.
