Eaton Truetrac Or Detroit Locker

Hi guys, about to start work on my BF MKII TURBO. I plan to start with the driveline, I hope to get to power levels in excess of 600RwKw and take it to the track when I can, from what I can gather I would need a 9" diff. With that in mind I would like to hear what some of you guys use that already run this type of power. Ive been looking at truetrac and DL. Are there other options?

Stay away with d/l but true tracks are behind 600kw turbo falcons and theres a few around now

XYZ on this forum has a 600kw fg f6 with true track !!

Thanks J@SNOT, also considering the transmission I Have the ZF6speed auto, do you know how hard they can go if built stronger well there are a few that state they can handle big power, anyone know anything about dominello?

Look at a genuine 600 kw your zf will live if its built and cooled for street dutys but if its a dedicated drag car go a t400/glide/c4 etc etc

Be realistic with your build and budget

Go to the 600kw section and have a bit of a read at whats involved

Yeah I've been looking through there a fair bit. For now Im working around a 30K budget. Will spend more if need be. Correction probably more around the 40k+.

go for the true track if your your going to use it for street and strip.Is it a ute or sedan?

It is a sedan, it will be street and strip for a while. But I do intend for it to end up just as a car to take to the drags when im done.

In my honest no bullsh*t answer if your going down to the track and plan to launch hard you are going to want a spool a true track is awesome on the street but not so good at the track. How much strip work are you planning to do?

I don't think he meant "no good" just "not as good" as a spool or locker on the strip. Spool is a dog of a thing on the street, I'd just go the truetrac for now
