All boxes are made and supplied with the full cover lid.

The cost of develoment and tooling for this airbox which includes 3 sections (including full cover) is retailed at $595

Unfortunately, the optional race cover requires an extra lid , manufactured with an extra process on a purpose built jig . It is a separate component made to order therefore the extra cost.

You can carefully cut it with a stanley knife if you wish.

I had the StreetFighter CAI fitted today and I have to say it is a great looking piece of kit.It didn't take long at all especially when my nephew(auto technician) did the work.

At the onset I noticed that the engine seemed a little smoother at idle and when underload.The ingear acceleration seemed a little briskier and also noticed an improved

pick up.

My car is "stock" except for the CAI therefore no discernable difference in intake noise was noticed.I still need to drive the car for an extended period of time for further evaluation of the new CAI,but so far so good!

You will notice suttle power gains initially. As you continue to add some kms this will stabilize to approx 8-12 kw increase.

As you mention, intake note increase is minimal due to the standard intake silencer working well.

On the Turbo models we have found that the standard intake silencer works very well in keeping the intake note minimised.

We have now tested the silencer delete pipe kit that increases the intake note considerably by approx 25 -30%.

KPM can offer the optional intake silencer delete kit for $165 with a purchase of our Streetfighter Intake. (Normally $195)

No This is purely for enhanced induction note. It has no measurable performance increase adavntages.

A huge amount of design and testing has gone into the Streetfighter Intake .

One of our main objectives was to offer an intake of highest quality that would both perform and keep the integrity and value of the vehicle.

With many intakes of the same design on the market ( filter enclosed in a fabricated box ) we were inspired by the genuine FPV offering of a massively ducted runner taking air from both front grill and over the headlight. With our development vehicle Coyote S/C engine making well over 650kw with this design we naturally followed and re-engineered this design concept to perfectly suit the complete FG range.

Our aim was to develop a performance intake that can be easily mistaken for a genuine item while giving maximum performance .
