Help On Brake Pads

thought id continue on this old thread instead of starting a new one,

seeing that the qfm hpx pads are half the price of there higher spec a1rm's ,for the street only ,what would you run on a standard braking system for my car ?

also how good /bad are the rda dimpled/slotted rotors

fitting HPX pads over the weekend,would you guys recomend scuffing them up with emery paper ?

also when pushing the piston back on the caliper will it hurt the abs lushing fluid back up into the abs system ?

Chamfer the edges and undo the bleed nipple when you push the piston back.

I think I just about own a brake store, lol. The best overall that I've had in my two piston FG brakes with RDA slotted rotors was the Remsa pads. But... the dust was insane being a high carbon Euro pad so out they came. I'd already baked a set of HPX fronts at powercruise after like three laps, so still think to this day they were either boxed incorrectly, or a bad batch. QFM gave me a set of A1RM's to replace them and they have great bite when hot. They're not the best overall pad though. If you drive normally, they leave frictional deposits. Don't give off much dust however. Drive like you stole it and they're awesome. So, out they came tonight and in went Bendix HD's for normal duties. Went for a quick run and they seemed ok once they'd warmed up a bit. Early days though and I didn't machine the rotors so they'll need to bed in. Had a fair stink up when I got home so hope they'll cut it, lol. I'll be swapping back to the A1RM's for track days though.

When I put on the GT brake upgrade to my ute, I used Bendix GCT pads. Seem to work great. No noise, and seem OK on the dust.

I dont drive overly hard though. Put EBC reds on my GTS, and squeal 1st up, but after a "spirited" run thru the Adelaide hills, they are great now.

Put in a set of HPX over the weekend (prior to reading this thread) and the amount of noise from them is stupid. Will chamfer edges and see how that goes. Why don't QFM just do this from factory.

I had Bendix GCT before hand, they were silent, but as soon as they got some heat in the them they would grind. Bendix HD next if the HPX don't shutup.
