Well unfortunately I sold my ute last weekend, and already I have started planing out my next project. a few of the ideas are as follows

I have got someone who is selling their ba xr6t for $7000.

I would throw an atomic engine in, c4 or 2 speed, the full plazmaman kit, highmount and gt45 or simular spec turbo. I also have some crow cams and other bits a peices like a 2lt surge and twin 044's.

basically build it to be a strip/ powercruise monster.

second idea is same drive line as above but throw it into a r33 skyline or an e-series body. I know its been done before but I love the idea!

and finally is buy my mates r33. has ported head, cams, plazmaman plenum, highmount, gt35 and a host of other mods. makes round 320rwkw on 17psi. he only wants 12 grand for it. if I was to buy this I would add the surge tank and tune it on e-85 with a new precision turbo on it. make round the 400rwkw mark.

like I said just some ideas im throwing round atm. your input on them would be great!

E - series FTW! Have you seen the XF that runs 9's? they have a light body, would be so tuff. GTX42, C4, E85 And shove as much boost up Its arse as you can. You will have 9s no worries with the right rear end!

The r33, if it makes it to the shopping centre without sh*tting itself or catching on fire, will get stolen.

The BA, will cost you a little bit more, but be so much tougher. My opinion may be biased.

VL? Don't do an x-series car unless you're prepared to four link it. The 33 is a good buy.

yeah the r33 is a great buy!!! just never had anything to do with the rb's. and the barra is such a good engine! only prob with the skyline/ vl idea is the police love to defect them! and the ba / e-series you might be able to get away with an animal under the bonnet for a while longer.

If your going that far, why not get something with all the work already done. 25k will get you a 9sec vl.

The first car I built was an ae71 corolla with a ca18det, was even in zoom mag... Parted it out cos I was over it... Considering a ke70 with 2jz or barra motor next would love to do the barra but not sure how it will sit as its a very high engine

henz I know what you mean there is some good vl's/ skylines for sale atm! if only there was a ba or bf for sale with some of the stuff I want!
