The fuel lid locks when you lock the car, at least it does on mine.

What did those FPV execs do anyway. In 10 years did they manage to get a decent rear bush setup for a high performance vehicle. No. It took them 10 years to get 9" rear wheels. There is so much they could have done to make FPV a great brand but they missed opportunities.

Now that the middle man is cut out, Ford should be able to cut pricing on the FPV range. Maybe a good thing for the consumer as the Ford/prodrive thing didnt really achieve alot, just made the product more expensive.

maybe they'll start moving some units.

Sad to say but no they wont, its a dead market and more than likely why Prodrive are bailing and not fighting to stay on.

The day of the large aus car is over and will never recover.

1% finance from most makers now. ,

But they are offering shoite on trade and I have not looked at the fine print of these loans...like monthly running costs and massive establishment fees. No idea but thinking it's not a bad time....How can it go under 1%

Be nice to know when they roll over the year on some. Like with bikes Kawasaki is October and we clear the previous years vins. Same bike just one will be last years build.

Or are most car makers building to order and not have excess

My worry is they still have to answer to shareholders. They still have to make a buck.....and quality is suffering now. If everyone on the line is worried about their jobs then they aren't going to be caring about what they are doing...or even maybe feeling a little spiteful

Maybe, if under one roof now, we could get more build options. Frankly, to not have a factory option for brembos in GS is BS. Late model camira bring them out in their Redline series ffs, and that's not even a HSV! The FPV snobs, like some in my car club, will whinge about losing the perceived 'specialness' of their cars. In reality, they've been fleeced to begin with. Try selling one 18 months after you bought new. That's what the specialness is really worth. So to me, if Ford start matching what the dark side are doing a bit better, maybe they'll start moving some units.

So here's a start. I want an FG 'Force6'. Slight tweak from 270 to 300kw using F6 cooler & injectors with 4 pot brembos. No cheesy body kit and actually, lose the rear spolier and replace with the G6 lip. Finally, piss off the crappy lower bar infill with something better that doesn't gather dust - similar to the FPV insert. Add the current special edition 19's but finish in graphite. Finish with custom trim to reflect the Force6 name and bring back EGO as the hero colour. Price point should be around 5k on the top of a base T. I'll put my order in tomorrow.

So you want a taxi pack with F6 Spec lol

Rods, a bigger turbo, two dials and a starter button on a car that still needs a key in the ignition??? WTF... A nice knob and some mesh. Brakes dampers and springs.Luv that mag on yours. B nice if you could widen the rear set.

When you look at HSV to Holden. Ya feel a little let down by what FPV has had on offer. Yup we have a massive price reduction to the GM in both Expensive Daewoo and HSV at the moment. So if you spend on your FPV what the Clubby or GTS would cost you in initial premium. The FPV is a fair way in front in terms of performance. And now battling warranty.............

I like the understated look of the FPV. I'm a fossil.

For mine the best improvement they could make with the FPV is finish. Maybe twice through the paint shop so it has some....LP1P twice mmm ok sorry bout that.

Ok get rid of the hard crappy miss matched hard plastics. Put in some nice one colour soft plastics.

Some reel moo or skippy in the seats door trims. A farken nice hand stitched dash, center console would look good.

And a black or grey roofliner!!!!

Like I said I like the subtlety of the outside. I would like to feel like I am driving something a little bit special from the inside

Pookeymaster, no the 08 did not lock at all, but you think about it get out at the servo to get fuel, lock the car walk round to open fuel flap, it's locked, yep that's smart. Leave the car open someone jumps in and steals it ( not like that hasn't happened before ). I had a ba xr8 before this, the fuel flap set up with a button was fine, why change it.

And just to top it of, the boss is looking at getting me a new BT50 ute, the drivers window has automatic up and down.

Lets face it Ford skimped out and f#$ked up.
