It's officially being called the gt R-spec. Same 335kw but with the expected upgraded suspension and tyres designed in collaboration with Shockworks in Melbourne.Quarter 12.8sec , 0-100 high 4s. It looks like the boss 302 mustangs from the US. Nice!Reading between the lines there is a hint that 2013 will bring a new model...I expect this to be the Gt Tempest Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/81084-gt-tempest-375kw-intercooled/page/2/#findComment-1273883 Share on other sites

The model is the FPV Falcon platform. Unfortunately, it's less clear whether 10 inch will be legal on XR6T's as they are a different car in the eyes of lawmakers because the manufacturer is different. Similar to the Toyota/Subaru car. Same car underneath but because it's different manufacturers, each had to be tested for compliance and crash testing, etc. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/81084-gt-tempest-375kw-intercooled/page/2/#findComment-1278926 Share on other sites

But given this new GT will have a bigger rear roll bar, won't that make turn in and understeer worse?? (but the compromise being better grip from the rear end) Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/81084-gt-tempest-375kw-intercooled/page/2/#findComment-1279055 Share on other sites

I thought fpv were hinting last year at a spare parts business were you could buy authorised enhancements like these larger rims. I wonder if that's still on the cards.
