Recenty I was speaking to an Auto One guy who appeared to know a bit about XR6 Turbo's. He informed me that the Ford coil packs were designed so that you could only do 3 plug replacements and then they were stuffed. Anyone know anything about this. Cheers

Its a lucky dip with the aftermarket ones, some people get good ones, some people get bad ones.

Genuine is generally a safe bet

If your a rough cvnt and have hands like a gorilla the conductor springs can strecth and the power connectors can be snapped off quite easily. That would kill a set in less than three plug changes. My last set saw 6sets of plugs before they started to fail under boost.

yeh 3 times sounds very specific lol should of just told him he was a monkey straight up

genuine is the best bet every time for what u and I would do with our cars

dont get em wet ( coil cover gaskit needs to be in good nick) and the rest is in the hands of luck

Ive done 131,000kms utes been modded all its life, do you think it needs to be changed or if its no broke dont fix it???
