Yeah get them to scan it. Should throw a fault code.

Or if you know someone with an xcal2 or 3 they can scan for you.

Yep that looks like a battery!! Get them to do a load test on it... A car can start every time and still have a sh*t battery.... Looks like its only a 470cca too which isnt ideal

9.7v is about as low as it has to go to just "click" the starter solenoid under load isn't it bionic?

But yeh get it tested. If u have to replace it, don't skimp on the new battery.

Yea I also saw its 470CCA think mine is 600 or more. Surprised it starts well with that.

Iv seen them still start at 8 v its more to do with cold cranking amps

hi thank you all, well I went up to hireford here in Dubbo, the f wits said dont have the time and they may be able to fit it in on Monday :( so if I take it to a battery place they should be able to tell me if the battery is doggy right?

well guys, its not the battery, he said its a really good battery, even though it says 470CA it reads 10 or = 600CA on the Vault meter, as its an Australian battery it reads different? dont remember what he said the reason was? so there goes that idea I had thinking it was a stuffed cell... anyway will try to get it into Ford on Monday, I will not be driving my Purple girl until I find out what is wrong with her :( have a great weekend and many thanks xx Robyn

did they load test it? using a volt meter only tells you voltage not cca.... australian batteries dont read different to any other cca battery, there are different types though, most european silver calcium batteries are measured in A EN....
