Not doubting anyones figures Tony just amazed that people are getting over 400 on 98.

For those that are pushing more than 20psi on BA/BF 3540's are you using the factory manifolds?

Wow, impressive figures from all, my GT3540 struggled to make 405rwkw on e85 !!!

because your using the worlds harshest dyno maybe..............as u can see 400 is totally achieveable as a "general"

Jet, to go from 400 to 405 we needed to use one more psi of boost, this is far too much boost for a 5rwkw increase which would lead me to beleive that we are now starting to create more heat and are starting to push through hot air, this was an increase from 18psi to 19 psi on e85.

Guys are stating that they are pushing over 20 psi on 98 so I just wanted to know what hardware they are using.

Yep I got 21psi in mine

Only due to stock flap and port

Remember though 5kw on a harsh dyno is prolly 10 everywhere except sa that's 15kw lol

18/19/20 psi is all up in the heat range of success haha so yeh its fair obvious that a extra psi up top isnt going to yeild like psi at the low end

I can understand where your coming from jet but highly doubt it would be double or triple even if it was a SA dyno, I did not want to push my car more than that and Spiro agreed.

No point putting more stress on the motor for a minor increase in power, car has seen almost 135MPH and a 10 second pass so I am more than happy with what has been acheived with the mods considering.

This car has to get me to work everyday and I hate public transport.

If it was a weekender with a built motor it would be a different story.

this is where u have to understand that 135mph is actually closer to 425/430 rwkw than 405

I think ull find that as a concensis goes a stock b series turbo can do either 135mph and or 430kw

dynos are that great debating subject but over 400 and not higher ( lets just say ) 430 is what is totally capable of the 35/40 at the 18/19/20 psi range.

seen a few cases of a 35/40 at 430 on " honest dynos " seen a few at 440 with the .7 cover

the biggest part is definately the fuel.

love to see if the snow performance kit could push this further ................................

Cheers I'm makin round 400kw but not sure on boost guess bout 17psi .7 front external gate 6boost mani. Nuff said cheers on normal gt35 I think 400kw is a realistic number on 98oct not much more cheers.

Depends on the way the boost is ramped in also.
